I got my Q6600 from Mwave last night, a day ahead of schedule. Works fine[1]. Not sure if it's a G0 or B3 - I'll run CPU-Z tonight and take a look.

[1] And by fine, I mean about ten times faster than the five-year-old Athlon it's replacing.

I thought it shows the spec number on the box somewhere.

Well, yes, it does. But it doesn't show the stepping, so I would have to go to a place (like here) and map the two.

sorry, maybe that sounded wrong, what I ment it to sound like was:
"because my wife would rather us spend money at Michael's over Mwave, I do not have a box in front of me but I thought I read that the box shows the spec number somewhere, here is the mapping incase it does..."

btw, did it end up being B3 stepping?

Clubit. These were shipped from their warehouse on July 25th.

Wow -- seems like everyone else is getting Q6600s with very recent pack dates. The Q6600 that I got from Mwave a few days ago has a pack date of 4/20/07.
