I think this is a repost and note that both rebates require seperate origional upc stamps and shipping recipts, and note that no you cannot send them together (as they require being mailed seperately) and that you have to wait a long time if you ever recieve them.

I was just coming over to see if anyone posted this. I am sure newegg will make good on the rebates. I think it is a long time to wait. But if someone needed a board anyway, and then a few months down the road you got your money back for it....well, you really can't beat it.

I called NE today and they said they have nothing to do with the rebates and fowarded me the Soyo number in Cali. I say purchase at your own risk

Soyo got bought by PC Chips (PChips?). I'm STILL waiting on my soyo rebate through mwave, been about 4 months now. I wouldn't count on the rebate, but you never know.

Well, i am on week 16+ for my rebate from the KV7mE from may.....about to the cutoff where they should start talking to me...(they don't acknowledge your rebate until after week 16..from what I hear.)

Dear Mr. XXXX,

We do apologize for the delay. We are behind in processing the rebate
at the moment. Your rebate has not been processed yet. We are asking
our customer to please wait a few more weeks for us to complete the
process. We wrote down you name, we will keep checking the status for
you.

Tip for receiving Soyo Rebates:

Do this ONLY if it's been 15 to 16 weeks from the postmark date. The postmark date is directly above your name on the original rebate form (you did keep a copy right ? ).

Call (909) 292-2504 and if you get an answering machine, press zero - wait a second and press zero again. This should take you directly to the operator.

The operator or Rattana Ling from the Rebate Department should answer.

Have her look up your rebate(s) and verify everything. If she starts telling you they are behind, interrupt her and let her know the rebate is a binding contract between Soyo and you. You have met the rebate requirements and you expect Soyo to meet theirs. Tell her you do not wish to wait more than 16 weeks. She may ??? ask you to fax all your documents to her. Mark her name on every document and fax it to (909) 937-0783 Attn: Rattana.

I just did this with 4 Soyo rebates which had just reached the 16 weeks point. She called me back (include your phone number !!!) and told me 4 checks would be mailed out this week.

Be nice - don't yell or complain but be firm and insistent.

PS - If you call or email before 14-16 weeks (from postmark date), you'll more than likely push your rebate back even further.

Is there anyone here that has actually received a rebate from Soyo, and what year was that?

Also, how do you like your Soyo board? I haven't taken mine out of the box yet. Because of all the negativity I called Newegg and asked them about their policy regarding rebates and they said, in so many words, "...it's not their problem."
If I return it within the 30 day time limit they will charge a restocking fee of 15%. I'm considering asking Newegg if I can still purchase their extended warranty. I think I recall that it's available only at time of purchase.

I bought a Celeron D 320 from Frys Monday for about $79.99 + tax. I think I read of a special by Frys where they had offered the 320 with a mobo for less than $100. Now I wonder if that will happen again.

I have taken advantage of almost every Soyo motherboard deal and combo deal since February of this year (over 10 rebates). I received my first Soyo/Tiger rebate about 6 weeks ago (on time). I did call them at the 16 week point and faxed Shirley my documents. I had my check a few days later.

I spoke with them yesterday (Rattana) about 4 more due rebates and also faxed them 16 documents. They said I'll have my next 4 rebate checks next week.

I have a feeling if you don't call, you could be in for a much longer wait.

Oh yeah, I've used a couple K7VME's and K7VMP2's and they're fine. The only Soyo product which was no good was the black party/LAN Case. The placement of the power supply in relationship to the cpu suxxx.
You must use a low profile, high output fan or the cpu will overheat. Very, very bad engineering.
