yes I used a coupon. there is no problem using a coupon and pricematch. if they hassle you try another rep

Doesn't it have something to do with the moon or Jupiter passing in front of the Sun the day after Thanksgiving? And then having to wait in long lines hoping to get the loooong deals?

that one is the 'Super' drive, it is dual format plus it has DVD-RAM support. Different from the 'Dual' drive in this thread

Staples isn't stocking this drive...it's an Ingram Micro product ordered through Staples (hence the IM###### number to order with). Not sure when IM is going to restock the drive. Good Luck....my Staples drive shipped....should arrive next week early!

Called today also and no luck, OOS, asked if she knew when it might come back and she said she had no idea. Hopefully soon since the rebate is up on the 22nd of November. Going to call back in the next couple days ill let you know if they have restocked

I just PM'd to buy.com ($119.99), then applied a $20 off $100 coupon, bringing my total to $69.99 +tax after the $30 rebate.

Bought the drive from OD also w/ a 20 off 100 coupon, now trying to get it price matched and I am getting shot down every time saying they only PM to their competitors like CompUSA and Best Buy... YMMV

I did it over the phone. I just asked if they matched to buy.com and was told yes by the CSR. I gave him the buy.com price and the item # and he said "ok." Then I said I wanted to apply my $20 off $100 coupon. No problem. I've seen the coupons at sp@@fee.com and other deal sites. As an aside, OD.com is having system errors anytime you try to validate a coupon code. The Shopping Cart page says that your total needs to be over $100 but is currently only $.00. The CSR said the prob was on their end.

I didn't even think about at the time, but I guess it was wise of me to PM first, and then do the coupon. Maybe I was just lucky.

this is what i plan to do , according to the tips posted here, but i want to make sure i got it right.

i'll call OD up and tell them i'd like to PM this dual drive to buy.com's price. then i'll give them a coupon # (20 off 100), if that all works out, and they send me the drive, with the invoice with it, can i still apply this 30 MIR? this is an IOMEGA 30 MIR right? they don't care who i buy it off do they?

btw, what's the subtotal after PMing and Couponing at staples? do you guys have to pay tax?

how much is the PM? 110%?

or 100%? wow it'd be sweet if they did 110% PMing because then the price would drop down to $88 after PMing and Coupon and then if you get the 30 MIR it'd be 58...ok i need to stop day dreaming, hopefully somebody can get back to me on the PM policy

EDIT: i recently bought a 80 gig from OD, and i realized a lot of ppl weren't able to use the coupons on it later on, because it's in the technology category and u can't use coupons on them?? perhaps that's why OD are getting an internal error about using coupons for it! hopefully they don't realize that

She said because of the usualy ships in 1 -2 weeks is a no go. And she tried to tell me it was an officedepot rebate and that was the price diff.

My total was ~$108 after PM and coupon ($99 + Calif. tax). The rebate does not look store-specific to me. Every online vendor I've seen is offering it with the same expiration date. Iomega's website doesn't seem to say anything about where you buy it (other than in USA or Canada).

I didn't even think to PM with the 110% policy (does OD even do that?). No regrets, though, as I did well enough.
