I ordered late last night (11/16). I don't remember which code I used, but it doesn't matter because it didn't work for me online, either.

The CSR seemed to know about the system error (which, BTW, didn't say anything about me having the wrong kind of merchandise [tech, that is] in my cart -- it kept saying that my total needed to by over $100 and was currently only $.00, which was obviously not the case), so he just took the code for me.

I think it might totally depend on whom you get to answer the phone.

Couldn't find a code for buy.com, and they pulled the free shipping because it is backordered now. I did the compuplus order (in stock, and no tax for me unlike buy.com), $113 + 14.95 shipping (ouch). They actually have the rebate link on their page for the product, so I really doubt there will be any problems with the rebate and different vendors. Nice deal.

that's exactly what it says, the whole "$100 and was currently only $.00" but in addition to it, it also has a disclaimer following that message saying some merchandise is excluded, that is why it doesnt count the dual DVD burner and see's it as 00, well im home now and im gonna try order one hopefully they will honor it

but it turns out just to be the same price though at least in my state

119.99 + tax (8.25%) - 30 MIR = 99.95

113 + 14.95 - 30 MIR = 97.95

Tried to PM at OD. She took the $20 off $100 coupon no problemo, but wouldn't price match to Buy.com. She checked with another CSR, said they would price match to Buy.com, but had to call them to verify inventory and shipping. When I explained to her that Buy.com doesn't have a phone number (that I can find) she wouldnt do PM. She said there is not supervisor during midnight shift and to try to PM maybe during business hours. Hmmmmmmmm.

what do u mean you have to get the adaptech videoh, that's optional isn't it? to get the $100, but ifyou simply get the dual dvd burner you will get $30

but if that's not the case it certainly do kill the deal
