BB has the Kingston valueram PC3200 512MB 2x256 kit on sale for $69.99 after $25 rebate. It is fact the valueram series uses different kinds of chips(Hynix, Samsung, Infineon, Mossel, Winbond etc) as long as it passes its rated speed. I found two kits at CC using the infamous Hynix BT-D43 chips. I was preparing myself for a PM war with the clerk but I was surprised when she PMed the items using the BB ad without any questions. Total price is $109 - $44 pm = $65.99.
I now have 4 sticks of 256MB Hynix BT-D43 which can run at 250 MHz and more. Remember that this module runs best with Intel Platforms because of the high cas latency. These sticks are designed to run at high FSBs and not low latencies which are more important for pentium systems.
I tested two sticks and I have gotten to 250 Mhz @2.7V 3-4-4-8. I am sure it can do more than 250 since other people at OC forums have claimed 280-300 MHz at higher voltages. I only have a 533 FSB CPU so 250 FSB is my limit.
Good Luck Hunting. 1GB of PC4000+ for $130 is HOT.
edit: confirmed anandtech article on memory configurations, 4 SS sticks is indeed faster than 2 SS on 865PE platform. Sandra reported an increase of around 150 MB/s bandwidth when using 4 SS sticks.
