Abit is better for overclocking. Asus is known for stability.

can anyone that has the kr7a-raid board tell me if you can disable the raid? i already have a promise ata100 raid controller and I don't need both. I heard promise is better than the built in controller.

I purchased a KR7A-RAID...the KT333 chipset doesn't really perform better than the KT266A, and this is SOO much cheaper than KT333 motherboards...I ordered it with 2 day air since it was only $4 more and the 10% off more than made up for it.

From those of you with this motherboard, can you tell me how stable it is from experience? I want to throw this into my fileserver. Would this be a good bet do you think?

The KG7-RAID is based on the AMD 761 chipset. It's actually pretty decent

The KR7A-RAID is based on the VIA KT266A chipset. This is better than the KG7-RAID.

HardOCP and AnandTech alike both gave the KR7A-RAID major thumbs up. It's a good board. Abit makes good stuff.
