I don't buy any certified cdrs, and they burn fine at 12x on my current burner, and they burn fine on someones 24x lite on that I know.

Because if you're the one to search and post "REPOST" first, you're the person who gets to be a senior member sooner. LOL

Anyway, sounds like a good deal, if you need to have the fastest (although a 36x is supposed to be out this month)
Nonetheless, I personally don't think the extra $75 is worth the few seconds you'll shave off the time to burn a CD.
(several recent posts point to Lite-ons that can be had for around 65 after MIR's or pricematching, or...)

Shipping is $10 for the 32X but only $5 for most of the other models, whats up with newegg and their shipping costs!?! I already have a 24X LiteOn that works great, IMHO the small time saving you must get is not worth the extra $$$

I think newegg has some of the most fair shipping policies on the Net. They don't charge you $30 to ship a cheap stick of RAM. And, everything they ship comes FedEx saver, which is about 2 days to me.

I don't really think it's worth it... I mean, like 3 minutes isn't fast enough with a 24x?? Newegg has some great prices for 24x, I just ordered the retail 24x Lite-On. Still I guess it's all good, 32x burning goodness.

this arent of much use unless you burn cd 24hrs a day or you make money from doing this working for a company. question: is 32x really 4 times faster then 8x or twice as fast as 16x or it just some number they thought of to get us all to keep buying it? for example a 48x is not really 48x more like 20-24x average transfer rate it goes like from 14x center to outer 48x media. anyway my burning days are over, i find it less and less useful theseday as it just for backup use only and i have nothing to backup, it would be much more practical buying a second 40gig for this purpose which is what I do. so 100 CDs = 60 gig, which is not something I like to dig around for cd burner no matter how fast will alway be slower then your harddrive because of it limited capacity per cd. I wait for DVD writer that is 10 times faster and store 8 times more if I were ya.
