Regardless of what you think of SH, his policies and the support those pollicies had from US administrations, I think it's shameful to approach this as if is something that we should enjoy. People are being killed right now as we watch. Iraqi civilians as well as their government representatives, and US troops will as well in the near future.

The world is about to be a (hopefully) safer place. You're saying that there's no satisfaction to be got from that?

Although I've been a bit negligent in keeping up on all of the news regarding this I'm going to trust bush that saddam has ties to terrorism (you know, those people that try to kill us). And we all know saddams' record of killing his own people. So no matter what spin you try to put on this death is going to happen for both sides on way or the other. Wouldn't you prefer to put a stop to it?

To me all the people who say we shouldn't go into this war because people will die sound like little more than fools. Saddam has cause more than his fair share of death already. Every now and then you just have to look at the bigger picture.

This is NOT a hot deal. However, considering the circumstances, AT should let this thread live because ALOT of people visit this forum and a large percentage of them will have something to say about the war. So let them express it in this thread so the rest of us don't have to go to other forums just to view these comments. Besides, who the hell would be in the mood to go shopping right now?

That said, I am all for war. Yes it will bring about a sluggish economy, but isn't ours already sluggish? I think the economy needs a jumpstart, a drastic change. I hope the war can bring about this change, whether it's at the beginning, the end, or 6 months after the end of the war. We need a change!

I for one am proud to say that I am supporting the troops and President Bush.. Sadam has had more than his fair share to comply... It's not like the troops are just shooting willy-nilly at people.. If it was the other way around.. There would not be any thought of who they killed... I hope they got his a$$ on the first round.. That would show a few people of what the US can do... And what if Sadam was left in power and noone every did anything.. Well.. Your grandchildren or your next few generations would probably feel the rath of him and his insane ways.. Back our troops.. We don't need the same idiots downing everything like they did with Vietnam..
