It says 80.99 from Logitech for me, isn't that the price it was at when it was *HOT*?

I just can't understand spending more than $20 for a mouse. I use a Microsoft Intellimouse and it works just fine for me. 2 side buttons and a clickable mouse wheel is all I need.

That looks like a downgrade from the G5 2007.
No kidding, it's butt ugly. I'll stick with my G7 thank you...
bump for a price lower than anywhere else though!
I bet this is more ergonomic than that jelly bean looking thing. I hate that 510 series of mice!!

Buy.com is my local retailer. I mailed it in let's see if I get it back...if they say it's not eligible, I'll say they should have been more specific. It's worth a shot anyway. Either way, the mouse was worth every penny of the $70.99 I paid for it, so if the rebate doesn't pan out, still a great deal.

Logitech still haven't made a better mouse then the MX518.
The G5+ are all a scam - the sensor is the main component and they started saving on it.
The review you listed is another one among the plague of unprofessional/fake mouse reviews that aren't based on real performance facts. If you want a legit mouse review look at esreality, who actually list a method that makes sense and is fact based.

agreed. a review on something that claims to be a gaming mouse should definitely focus on its gaming performance, not like some trivial issues like LED functionality. That would be like comparing CPUs based on how well the included retail heatsink work
I've done a quite bit of reading online as to gaming mouse, and my impresison was that most hardcore gaming sites consider mx518/mx510/mx310 as the only legit contenders from logitech.
that is not to say this is a bad deal, however. Thank you op for your kindness and congrats on your mouse upgrade.
