for the price its good, otherwise its not, logitech is well know for muddy bass, if your looking for muddy bass then logitech is the way to go, if you want quality go for the promedia, gigaworks, megaworks, promedia ultra, and 2.1 mode you would go for the altec lansing 5021 (err i think its that) i personally own the megaworks and it owns logitech.

I dont have the z-5300 set, but I can say I love my older logitech z-560 speakers. Awesome for watching dvds, playing games or blasting music. Theres always something better, but Logitech is the clear choice in this price range.

my fiancee just bought me a set of these, two or three weeks ago. this damn rebate is only good from 10/1. anybody know if amazon will allow me to return and rebuy, so its shows a purchased date of after 10/1, without actually sending the speakers for return?

Anyone know how this set would compare to a set of klipsch promedia gmx-5.1? Going for 50 bucks more, but i wonder if it is worth the price gap.

I haven't heard the klipsch promedia gmx-5.1 so can't compare to the z-5300s but I much prefer the sound of Logitech z-560s (5300s are likely similar or better) to Klipsch older 4.1 model that was supposedly better at that time (and double the price).


I'm not seeing free shipping on this 5300 Amazon deal; has it been removed?

the z5300e's are black and the regular z5300's are grey - no difference in specs or design.

i just sold a set of these and was very pleased with the sound.

oh yeah, i think the z5300e also has a wireless remote so they are a bit different
