A little background on that transaction: 15APR, bought new 26 foot fridge, was told by salesman that the fridge would be delivered in 3-5 business days. 6th day comes, and I'm calling to find out where my fridge is, only to find out that the sales scum lied to me, and that it was 12-16 days normally on special orders:| I take it in stride, and wait. The fridge comes in on the 18th day, and is delivered with no water line, and scratches on the corners from the box rubbing the paint off in transit....at this point, I'm pissed! I get on the line w/the asst. mgr (don't store managers deal with customers anymore?) and get a promised date of 2 weeks from then, and I could keep this fridge, since we've already unloaded our old one, and it's on the truck..
Wait, it gets better....
The 15th day goes by, and I make another phone call, and am told that the replacement came in and was refused on the dock due to it's being
crushed in transit.:disgust: Nevermind that nobody bothered to call me and explain that this had happened 3 days earlier
Yet another promise of a replacement is offered, and I see no choice, since they have taken my old fridge, I'm stuck......can't do a return without a fridge, and the CC is maxed!
10 days later, I walk into the store with above mentioned coupon, and an attitude. I stood at the service counter for 30 minutes staring at the asst. mgr, who was busy getting the life sucked out of her by an ancient bag of bones, discussing wallpaper and vaccum cleaners......AAARRRGHHH! To make this story shorter....an hour later, I've browbeaten the asst mgr into accepting the coupon, even though it plainly states "not good for previous purchases, or special orders" on it, get about $150 credited back to my Visa, and get handed two $50 GCs to boot!!!
Got the fridge two days later.....
