Someone was bound to find out and post it. The price had been good for 2 days already - everyone at my store already knew about it.

BTW, I was able to use the $30 off $100 code in the store too. I told them I had a coupon code to use and asked if it would just be easier to use it at the in-store kiosk and they said, "No, we'll just take care of it here at the register". I would hardly consider that fraud. Get a grip guys, some of you are losing it!

Considering it's not available online, you got lucky they allowed you to do that

One heluva good deal, considering internal drives of this capacity are still much higher than this. Wondering why staples is clearing them out so cheap so fast? This does make up for the 19.99 ddr ram I missed out on last week - all my staples posted the 19.99 price above the ram, and it was cleaned out.

I'm sure staples employees come across damn good deals and clean out the store before we even hear about them. It is sad people are reselling em on ebay, but thats just the way it is - with any extraordinary clearance/sale, people will do that. On the flip side, it is good for Staples - if they decide to clear out inventory, it will go faster if someone clues us in.

Again, thanks for a great heads up on this deal.

Jack

For anyone who is lucky enought to get one or more units, would you be willing to sell one to me? I also have a bunch of stuff to trade including a firewire 40gb 7200rpm Ext. hd, a Dell Cpi laptop, and bunch of PC components...

I just took the hd out of the enclosure w/o destroying either. I'll put a smaller hd into the enclosure later. This is the coolest deal ever.

FFactoryX - I think the data transfer rate may be too slow to run games off of it. I suppose you could try but if you were to, you might as well take it out of the enclosure and slap in a smaller drive.

Thanks for the hot deal RagingBITCH. Now I have a backup device to the 2 Dell WD 120 GB SE drives (AT deal last year) I have on my RAID MB. My 10 GB Sony Superstation tape drive is XP incompatible.

Purchased the last one at the Centerville OH store.
