Looks like a pretty good deal with only one $30 rebate, since I hate traffic around Christmas, online ordering was a bonus.

I just got back from Fry's and it"s the ATA133 not the SATA that's on sale.

Thanks for the heads up on this drive. The card is perfect. It also does SATA in addition to ATA133, so that's a nice bonus. I am also impressed with the quality of the tshirt

This will be my first Compusa rebate, but as always, make copies and records of when you've sent things in and when you can expect them. The only other things I've bought @ Compusa are Fuji cdrs, and I've had to call about them already. But those are Fuji rebates. I'll have to see about this one.

The rebate for these drives is a Maxtor rebate, not a CompUSA rebate, so it is safe.

Just my $0.02,

Why not price match this to staples (they are showing it for $259.99) . So if you work it out the price difference would be 259.99-179.99 = 80.00, so w/ the 10% price match it would be 88 less, so you pay 171.99 out the door, but throw on top of that the 30 off 150 coupons that are on chubby, that knocks it down to 141.99 (already better out the door than through crapUSA). No hassles what so ever then with the rebate and it comes out cheaper.
