I am surprised I didn't see a post for this (even after using "search")

Office Depot has the Maxtor 40 GB 5400 rpm at $59 after $20 instant rebate and $20 MIR. Add a $20 off $75 coupon and you get it for $39 plus tax (free shipping).

Seems hot. Good point is that only $20 are MIR.... (going to walled lake, MI, the WORST rebate center with the cr@ppy express group.... worse than new rochelle IMO)

Staples had as similar one last week (just better). This is kind of a consolation price.

You can order online. Just use the order by item number link at top of Office depot page and enter 868-491. Drive will pop up for $79.99 add your coupon, print out rebate and you are on the way.

Well, when I added it to my cart, I didn't get the $20 IR, and I couldn't find a $20 off $75 coupon. Best I could find was a $15 off $50. (I also found a site where you get a free leather expandable briefcase for first-time OD customers w/ order > $50).

Any ideas how to get the $20 IR to work?

For some reason when i add the drive (sku #868491) to the cart it shows $79.99 and no signs of the $20 instant rebate..

I do have the $20 off $75 coupon - but i cant seem to get the $20 instant rebate first...

am i doing something wrong ????? can someone please help me ????

Instore it would be $99 - $20 Instant rebate - $20 MIR - $20 coupon (if you could get them to accept it) = $39

You can't search for a sku. You have to click on order by item number at the top of the page then enter 868-491 on next screen that comes up. Should work, I just checked it again and it worked for me.

Ah, just realized it wouldn't have worked anyway. $79 in-store price from Office Depot reflects the $20 IR. I thought the $20 IR was off the $79 price. This deal is pretty much like the one from Staples then. Nice deal!

i had some free time so i thought i'd put together a quick faq for for ordering using office depot coupons for people having trouble with office depot coupons:

Steps to get this deal..

1.) Go to Link for $20 off $75 coupon for Office Depot - scroll to the middle and find the $20 off $75 coupon with Unknown Expiration. Click on the online coupon here link.

2.) This will bring up the OfficeDepot online store with the coupon added to your cart.

NOTE: If you have used this coupon before and you have auto-login to your office depot online account then the coupon will NOT appear in your cart. Instead you will see an error like - Sorry the coupon XXXX has already been used.

If you see this then here's the fix:

• Clear cookies from your browser (For IE: Tools|Internet Options|Delete Cookies...)

• Close your browser.

• Go to Step 1 - now the coupon should display correctly

• Register with a new email address at checkout to get the deal

3.) Find item by clicking on Order By Item #. It may ask you for zipcode/login at this point. Once you're past this screen enter
868491 as the Item# and 1 for Qty click Add to Cart.

4.) Click view cart - you should see the hard drive minus the coupon for $59.99

5.) If you have used the coupon previously, use a new email address and register to get the deal. For new users or users that have not used this coupon before complete the checkout to get the deal...
