For those of you who have received both the men's and the women's jacket in the mix up, are the jackets the same material? It's hard to tell online. If it is the same material then it might be too thin for me and I am not going to bother getting another one.

It looks to be the same material. The men's jacket looks more glossy than the women's does though. Both feel very soft.

It is pretty thin material. Wouldn't recommend it for snowmobiling

<<I talked with Amazon.com's "Special Customer Care Support" and the lady basically told me that the manufacturer must have messed up when they send the shipment over and claimed women's coats as men's coats. She said that as we were speaking that the staff were making the new inventory that will be reflected online and that all of the men's coats will probably be out of stock.

Since I've already been shipped a women's coat and the replacement is being shipped from NV again, I asked will I be getting a women's coat again? She said probably and that there is nothing they can do about it but give me a refund to my CC. She said however, that they may try and reorder some men's coats from the manufacturer, so she said by the time I receive my second women's jacket that they may have the new shipment in.

I don't know how true this may be, but that is what she told me after talking with Amazon Customer Service people for like 20 minutes.

Congrats to the people who have gotten their men's jackets, and hopefully the lottery will go my way next time I open that UPS box.

According the the Customer Representative that I talked to, she said that all of the leather jackets are Woman. It was a mistake on the part of Target for mislabeling the leather jackets as men thus this misinformation was reflected in Amazon's inventory. The customer representative was more than willing to do a full refund on the purchase and will even take back the jacket free of charge. Also another note, the customer rep said that you will be able to tell rather the jacket is men or women by looking on the "inner lining" of the jacket. If it is purplish or pinkish .. it is women .. if not .. then you have a men's jacket. At least this is according to her. I haven't gone to a Target Store to confirm so is there anyone here that can do that and find out the distinctive difference between a men's and a women's? The customer rep said that whatever is said on the box is also irrelevant. It is a mislabel on Target's part.

Currently I am not exactly sure what mine is b/c its back home. I'll update as I find more information.

Hi all.. first time poster here

I just got my jacket no more than 20 minutes ago... and it turned out to be the women's jacket with purple lining. Grrrrr. I called the highly apologetic CSRs to find out that yes - all they have is women's coats!

According to the CSR, the particular fulfillment center never had any men's coats (I'm assuming the Fernley, NV one, as that's where my order was coming from - I'm in SF). So I'm getting a full refund, free shipping label, yadda yadda yadda, but no coat!

Supposedly they'll have them again "soon" but until then, they should show up as OOS on Amazon. Who's willing to bet they'll be back up at full price and once the weather warms up?

Why don't you just go to Target b&m and see if they still have the jackets there instead of dealing with the Amazon nonsense? When I was at a store near me today, they just marked the Cherokee mens leather jackets down again to 52.xx and the leather is much nicer than the Mossimo jackets. Just a suggestion.

Got the replacement box yesterday. It was a mans large. Finally...

It is soooooo worth the money. If you havent got the correct one yet, I would still hold out, and be a bur in thier ass untill they ship the correct one to you.

Im 6'0 at 190lbs, and usually wear a 42long. The regular "Large" fits perfect. (Zippered one)

Got the replacement men's XL buttoned jacket today (to replace the woman's coat they originally sent). Fantastic jacket; very sharp and well worth the money.

I also ordered and received a men's XL zippered jacket, which was good but just a bit big in the gut for me. So I tried ordering a men's L, and they sent another men's XL. I called and they said they didn't have any more men's L right now.

Of the 2, I definitely prefer the buttoned jacket.

I ordered the mens black zip in a large on the evening of Wed. 16th.
Today I get the jacket... it WAS a mens and fit perfectly (5'8" 179lbs)
Jacket is very soft and had tag hanging from the sleeve "Genuine lambskin... $119.00"
I got for: Cut and paste from Amazon's Order Confrimation

I just received my Large zip jacket from UPS. The sleeves were a littlle long for me (that's usual for me) and the mid-section was a bit large but no real problem.

I bought a Kenneth Cole leather sport jacket a couple of years ago which "retailed" for over $500........I paid about $250 for it. The retail price tag on the Mossimo jacket was $119. I swear that if these two jackets were side by side, I would have a lot of trouble justifying buying the Kenneth Cole jacket.

The leather on the Mossimo jacket is very soft and supple, but not as thin (imho) as some other messages I have seen in this post. I live in Boston, and would be able to wear this jacket year-round, except for when it gets very cold......but then, I would be able to wear a sweater under it, which would probably make it ok.

The big difference I see between this Mossimo jacket and the Kenneth Cole is the number of leather panels used to make the jacket. In "high quality" leather jackets, there are fewer panels used to make the jacket. Personally, I kind of like the "checkerboard" effect on the back of the Mossimo jacket. Looks kinda cool to me.

All in all, I am very happy with this jacket. My only regret is that I was not able to get the 3/4 length button coat too!

Spotdancer, or anyone who ordered the zip jacket. You can call Amazon and get the price adjusted to Target's new lower price. That is if you bought it within a reasonable time frame. If they tell you they don't give price adjustments, that's not true. Many woman got the price adjusted on their jackets.
