here is the story about me, a jacket, amazon, and target
i was on a forum browsing and i saw a post about a hot deal on a leather jacket at amazon, so i checked it out, it was $48 for the mens, i was gonna get it, but decided i didnt need another jacket, anyway two days later i decided to buy it, my order was

It arrived in about a week, meanwhile I had been checking up on replys to the post and a large number of the people who ordered them had received womens leather jackets instead of mens. I hoped mine would be a mens but knew there was a good chance it would be a womens. So the box finally comes and I got a womens medium coat. I called amazon and told them and asked them to pay for me to ship it back and for them to ship me a new mens jacket, the women said no, they had no more mens jackets, it was a mistake from the company. I said ok, sure. I checked the same post, lots of people had gotten womens jackets but sent them back and gotten a mens jacket the second or third time. I called amazon again the next day hoping I would get a diff CSR who would reorder me the jacket, which was even listed as in stock at their website, this one also said no, if you ordered one of the ones on their site you would get another womans coat. They did offer me a refund and to pay for it to be shipped back, but I didn?t wan that, I wanted a friggin jacket. I also realized these were sold in target stores and at target.com. However the jacket was $60 @ target.com. Here was my plan, pay the $60, get the jacket from target.com, then switch the jackets and send target.com back the womens jacket saying they sent me a womans jacket and I wanted a refund. This would mean I would end up with a mens jacket having only payed the amazon.com price. So I get home and I decide to do that, I go to target.com to order the jacket, and what do I see, its been lowered to $30! I flip out b/c now all I have to do is order this one and send amazon back the womens one, and id only end up paying $30 for the jacket. So I add the medium jacket to my cart, order it, by the time I processed my order it was out of stock, that sucked, for 2 reasons, one I didn?t get it for $30, two it meant I couldn?t even do my plan to switch and return. Then I had an idea, I called amazon and pricematched the target.com jacket with the one I bought from them and they gave me an $18 credit back on my card, so that was good. Still, I had no idea where I would get the jacket, Im back at square one. I have another idea, let me call targer stores and see if they have any mens mediums, if they do ill just go in and swap the jackets saying the one I got is too small (they don?t need to know it?s a womens coat). I called about 4 stores they all said they didn?t have it, I finally found one that said she did have one in, but she said it cost $89.90, I said ok, fine, and made plans to go get it the next day, I drive there (about 25 miles away), I had already called and asked if I could do an exchange with a brand new item if I didn?t have a receipt, they said yes. (the jacket did have the tags on it still). So I went there, I went to customer service, told them my friend picked me up this jacket, but it doesn?t fit, could I go exchange it? She said ok go find the one you want. I go to the mens section, there is a jacket rack clearance, no mossimo jackets at all, but wait there was a mossimo jacket rack next to it, so I find it, one medium left, I bring it up, but there is no tag on it, I tell her it?s the same jacket she could just scan the one Im returning twice, she says ok, then as shes processing it, she sees both jackets are medium and questions me about it, I said they must be different cuts, she then calls over like 4 managers to get this resolved. They then scan in the womens jacket, it scans in at 27.44, they go and find a mens small jacket with a tag and the tag says $59.99. She says to me I can pay the $32 difference, or I can go home basically. I try reasoning with them, I had brought with me a print out of the target.com site listing it as $30, they say there independent of each other and cannot honor the website price. Im already thinking something is odd because both the mens and womens jackets were both $60 at one point, then they both went down to 30ish, so why would only the womens be down in this store. Then my dad says can you scan in the mens and see if it rings up any different than the tag, the women goes I doubt it, we just marked it down yesterday, ?ooops, it is $29.94?. That whole 20 minutes before with her was now pointless, I throw my $2 (the difference b/w the womens and mens) at her, grab the jacket and run. In the end, I got a nice leather jacket for $32, and only $7 out of my pocket. That sounds like a good deal if you ask me.
Alls well that ends well, and this ended well.
