I just got my mouse in the mail today. I called the number way back when and said my mouse wasn't working. They sent me some form to fill out in the mail but I threw it away. Mouse came anyways. =)

I called in June and the CS rep said 10 days. Today Aug 5 I got a box with 5 mice in it. I think other people are getting more than one because if you check E*ay there are dozens for sale without the retail box.

Got my intellimouse explorer 3.0 mouse today. Didn't believe it at first since they said it won't be shipping for a while yet. Maybe i'll even get the 2nd one as well that the guy just filled the order out for when I called to complain. Hopefully this mouse works better. Took forever but at least they sent it. Thanks

Microsoft really does make crappy mice. That's an insane amount of bad mice. Logitech > Microsoft.

Logitech are probably more specialized than MS at making mice/keyboards because MS makes too many things. If a company specializes in one or two products, they usually make better things.

Hey I just did this, and got a new mouse. What's cool is that i'm getting a 3.0, when i had a 1.0. I saw that someone did this for their keyboard as well. I haven't tried this, but i will if i see that someone has done so successfully.

I sent the form and a copy of the bottom of the explorer mouse v1.0 approximately a week ago.
I got a new explorer mouse v3.0 (retail) today.
Hopefully this new mouse will operate without any problems.

well it mad it here today... intellimouse optical ...after looking into the matter further i came to the conclusion that the regular optical is what i wanted because it has one button on each side instead of two on one side... better for counterstrike. anyways the only difference between teh two is the physical design. oh well i'd better go test this thing out a while

Wow, just got off the phone.

Was trying to get the CSR I faxed the bottom of the mouse to. The person I got though, said the guy didn't come in till later. She checked out the P/N and was able to find it on some other list, it wasn't in their online database. She finally took care of everything, so yay I'm getting a v3 to replace my v1. I just hope I get it before I leave for the fall semester.

Status page says it's processing, but ship date currently says September 4th. D'oh. I leave on August 31st.

edit:yay! they shipped it yesterday/today via USPS.


edit: I got my mouse today! hoorah!

This thing kicks butt. I can't get it to lose tracking and go crazy like the other one. and hopefully I'll never see that problem of it locking up immediately following a mouse movement again (didn't see it at all when I was using logitech mice)

I received a letter in the mail last week stating that MS was backordered on the Intellimouse Optical. I was quite surprised when I came to work and found a box from MS on my desk. When I opened the box, I was very surprised to find an OEM 5-pack of the Intellimouse Optical inside! Talk about a sweet deal! Complain about MS all you want but when something doesn't work and you send it back under warranty, they put their money where their mouth is and work to make you a happy end user.

I don't understand why the mods didn't lock this up in the first place.This is a friggin' open invitation to defraud. Those who have busted mice could easily get this info themselves.

I called them up and had my mouse replaced. The problem is that they sent me a regular microsoft wheel mouse (no intellieye). was that supposed to happen? or was i supposed to get a new intellimouse with intellieye?

I think I was supposed to get a new intellimouse. Damn it. Now i am going to have to spend hours trying to fix this problem or give up.....grrr....
