Just call long distance one of the support numbers for MS products listed on the MS web page. Tell them you want to talk to someone about the MS explorer warranty. They will assign you a case number and forward you to the appropriate people. Just tell them what the problem is (the one I did was a sticky wheel, the one my brother did just a few weeks ago was intermittantly every 20 seconds stopped working, probably a broken/loose wire).

Did anyone else notice the replacement mouse is junk? Mine was a really old one, would have never bought one if they were like this. It's 1/2 the size of the old one. This is crap.
Are you talking about the version 3 they send out now, versus the version one you had? YES it is smaller. But let me tell you, I like it much better. Try it a little while first, it takes a few days to get used to it but I do like it much better. And yes, I have big hands, these massive mitts, and I like the new version 3 better. Both because it fits the hand better, and because it has a much higher scan rate. The old version 1 would sometimes get confused if I moved it rapidly (very rapidly) across the whole mouse pad. The new one doesn't and seems to track a bit better. I play tons of games and lots of counter strike and I like the new version 3 one much better than the old one.
Anyway just my two cents. If you REALLY MUST have the old one, well they dont ask you to send it back.
Heck, I'll sell one of my old ones to you if you REALLY REALLY want. One of them that had the sticky scroll wheel, well it works now, its not sticking anymore, I've used it a couple times when I was putting together a computer for someone as a temp mouse.
You probably want a new one though, heheh if you insist on version one, check on ebay I'm sure you can find it on there.
