I don't know how accurate that review is, but it rated this LCD quite highly for a budget unit.

Also, Office Depot recently sent out coupons in snail mail, including a $50 off any 17" LCD.

IF you pick up your .com order in-store, you MIGHT be able to convince the clerk/manager to stack that coupon on top of your order.

There's two - one for $80 and one for $50. How can you combine them as specified above? It sounds like they can't be combined, right? If that's true, why the heck do they have two rebates for the same thing?

Yes, they CAN be combined, the $50 rebate takes a copy of the UPC.

I bought this monitor the last time it was on sale, the response time is 25ms (T-on + T-off).
No ghosting and great FOV. It is also nice and bright. Smooth color representation.
I recently purchased a Samsung 171V monitor at BB and it wasnt as smooth at this monitor.
(Yes, I returned the Samsung and kept the Microtek)
I play FPS (UT2003, BF1942) and they all look great!
DVD playback is clear too.
Im happy with this one.

I agree. Great monitor. I bought one a month back, and it outputs without any ghosting. Haven't had any problems with it, and its better than my 17in viewsonic monitor.

Works fine for me, although I haven't been gaming on it. Great analog and great price. I paid $440 for this on the last deal. Get it if you don't have a DVI card and are on a budget, otherwise go elsewhere. Great to use at work though (on their analog video cards).
