HOT! Monitor Arm @ staples for $4 AIR (ends 5/25)

There is a kensiko monitor arm (sku 218131) for $3.90 after instant rebate from $19.99 at my local staples, in maryland. It looks to be very similar to this one. It is NOT on the staples website however, but you can call staples 1-800 number (1-800-3STAPLE (1-800-378-2753)) and give them the sku, they have all the info. This might just be a local thing since it isn't on the website so I suggest calling first to find out if it's available in your area, unless you want to have it shipped that is.

I don't know about the quality of it, since I don't know much about monitor arms except that it looks EXACTLY like the $60 one I linked to and seems to have the same specs. But for $4 you can't go wrong.

50 lb limit on the arm that you linked to. 17" monitor - be careful with a 19".

Check on the specs for the sku 218131 arm. A cheapo may not be able to hold a 17" only a 15" screen.

Scored one at Union Square Store in NYC for $3.90. There were two on the shelf (so only 1 left now).
Looks exactly the same as the Fellowes one, except for the keyboard hinge. Load limit is 50lbs and requires at least 2 inches of clearance (overhang) under your desk. The arm is attached with two heavy-duty clamp bolts and is made of thick, sturdy steel.

went to the Pasadena store and saw it marked at $19.. brought it up to the register and it rang up for $4... great deal.. includes the keyboard rack... really sturdy arm... put my 19 inch crt on it.. so far so good...they had one more left

Staples and Frys always have all the good deals. There isn't a Frys in the whole state (Minnesota) and the closest Staples is 2.5hrs away. :-(

I'll have to call them up and see if they have some. I could use a couple.

Needed something for couple bucks to fill out my order for some CDR's & a Serge Protector.

Had a $10 off $40 card Staples I needed to use up before it expired.

Final cost (after rebates & coupon & Tax) for 100pk CDR's, Belkin Surge protector, and the Monitor arm was only $4

There were two of the arms for $3.90 in Tigard, OR plus an under-desk keyboard tray thingy for $1.90 as well as one of those desktop monitor stands that has a space underneath for the keyboard (price unmarked). I took one of the arms and the the tray, so there is one arm and the stand left. The boxes were all really beat up, but who cares for 4 bucks?

I missed this by a few minutes! Saw a guy walked away with the last one in his cart before I could get there.

They do have a bunch of other accessories marked down quite a bit, desk drawer, keyboard holder, etc.. I bought 4 CD cases for $15 that would give ~200 CDs a home.

Don't forget to check their furniture clearance as well -- I saw a Bush computer desk for $19.50 down from $79.99, a few bookcases marked down to ~$20 and really nice file cabinet for $49.50 down from $249.99(!). Didn't have a $10 off coupon with me so I passed.:|

There are three left at the Staples at 34th Street.
I had them check stock. They had five so I took one. Told another customer about them and
he took one.

I also got one at Fulton Street ... South Street Seaport location. Took the last one.
That makes two of them for me. One will probably go overseas to Europe.

Picked one up at Staples in Alexandria, VA - there are still two left. It scanned for 19.99 at the customer service desk but when I rang it up at the checkout counter it was 3.90 after the IR. VERRY NICE!

Apparently what happens is that the scan is the 19.99 price
However there is an instant 16.00 rebate to leave it at 3.99.
The rebate is unadvertised and only appears when you check out the
item.

I found this out today. In the morning the manager at the store just scanned the price
and it was 19.99. I told him that a friend got it for 3.99. He asked me to bring in a copy
of the receipt and he would honor it. When I went back after work he had just left. The new
manager seemed to have a better handle on how the system worked. She rang it up as a sale
and it came to 3.99 as I expected.

Anyway thanks for the post. Scored two of them.

My store actually had a shelf tag that read $19.90 - $16 instant rebate = $3.90 total. Suprised that there were actually any left. The sales guy didn't even believe it, but it did ring up at $3.90!

Have not assembled it - but it doesnt seem like it would hold 50 pounds. I can easily move and manipulate it while holding it in my hands. Anyway - I will assemble it tomorrow and give it a try.

Edit Just checked the specs on my 17 NONAME monitor 45 lbs gross and 38 net - so it SHOULD work with this arm.

Is the base supposed to be able to rotate, or just the platform? Otherwise I think the bolt on my base is way too tight then.
