wow, nice to hear. did you have a copy of the local BB ad with you or a printout of the online ad?

I'm taking the print out of the website. Hopefully that'll do the trick (gotta get outta work before 9 though - unlikely...)

I just brought the printout from the site. The manager read through the fine print for a few minutes, looking for references to an instant rebate, and checked out the BB site as well. It's a legit sale, though, and he honored it without any complaints. YMMV though... good luck!

I just picked one up at CompUSA - going to try it out and see if it will be the replacement for my well used Microsoft Natural Pro. So far I have mixed feelings. The space bar is a bit stiff as of now, and it doesn't have track forward/backward and stop. We'll see how it goes-- good deal though - no problem price matching.

I'm having an odd issue with this keyboard in particular - plugged it into a DFI LanParty nF4 SLI-DR's USB port and I lose all PS/2 mouse functionality. No problems with other USB keyboards..."Zoom" scroll in the middle of the keyboard doesn't work half the time, either. :|

disappointing isn't it.. i think the ms natural kb pro is the best they've made. they lost the sleep, my computer, and like you said, the media player buttons on this one. the keyboard feels better, is nicer, quieter.. and black! but not quite as good missing the extras.

Okay guys. Went to CC before work with my Best Buy print-out and got it no problem. Woot! The tech people are installing the software as we speak (I am not allowed to). Anyway, it came to $28.71. So AR, $8.71!!! I am thinking about getting another one for home.

I've not had good luck getting price matches by calling the 800 #'s of CC & Staples. I called the local (local = 1 hour drive) CC & Staples...the Staples guy said no since there was a rebate involved. The CC guy said to purchase it online, pick it up @ the store, bring in a BB ad & they'll call to verify. If it's in stock @ BB at that time, they'll honor their ad.
Let's see...at least 2 hours of my time...110 mile round trip...25 MPG = ~$9.25 in gas + wear & tear on vehicle...$.37 postage...15 minutes of my time filling out the appropriate paperwork...4-6 weeks wait....hmmmmmmmmmmm.
While I admit this is a most excellent deal, I don't know if it is for me or not since i'm not having much luck with the phone calls. It's still a very good price even without the rebate as well.
Congratulations to those that have taken advantage of this, good luck to those that are trying.

I had one of these a couple of months ago and sold it after about a week. The keys were "rocky" nd the space bar sucked! If you didnt hit it right in the center it didnt register. imo...

Just went to go get 2 of these (one for my brother and one for myself) and boy was it horrible. First the person from CompUSA took 10 minutes to tell me that they couldn't do the price match to BB because they were out of stock. I went to the local BB (its in the same complex so it took about 1 min) and saw that they had at least a dozen. Drove back to CompUSA and told them that i went there and that it DEFINITELY was in stock. Manager told them to ring BB but it took them 5 minutes before they could get someone from BB on the phone, all the while the girl (she was a CompUSA employee just standing on the side) was complaining that she didn't know if they were the same product (IT CLEARLY STATES WHAT THE PRODUCT IS ON THE PRINTOUT AND ON THE DAMN BOX!!...i think she was illiterate and i wouldn't be surprised to find out if she actually is). After a two minute discussion over the phone the dude started to tell me that they couldn't do it because BB had it in stock. WTF?!?! After reasoning with him that since BB has it in stock, they should have to honor the pricematch, he finally agreed...and then left. Great...the only person who knows that it was in stock just left. After waiting an additional 10 minutes b/c the cashiers didn't know if it was in stock or not, the manager comes again. He calls the dude who was on the phone with BB and verifies that it was in stock. Finally, after a good half hour, i get it price matched to BB. The people at my CompUSA are complete and absolute retards. Oh i would definitely do it again just to piss them off and i will take every advantage of these hot deals to price match sh*t at their store, even if i am going to return it the next day, just to be a dick.
Moral of the story: treat me like a leper and I'll make you eat my dead skin.
