From looking at the specs on the Asus board, it looks like it will work.

specs state 18chip 32x4 double sided configuration is OK. Page 17 of manual on asus website

Hi I was looking at your site and I was wondering why you have these DIMMs at 38 while the next ECC and Registered DIMM goes for 199? "256Mb PC133 ECC Registered DIMM $ 199" from the Muskin Website. I am just curious as to why these chips are so cheap and the other is so much more expensive.

hey WildBill34,
the big difference is the cost of the chips. as you can tell from this thread compatiblilty of the 32x4 density is pretty limited. the IBMs are still high quality chips, just incompatible with a lot of systems because of their density. we got a good deal on them so you do too!

jackywebdesign - not sure on the SiS chipsets....we have not tested on any of those and their website does not give any specifics about compatible densities. my guess is that the socket A chipsets should be ok while socket 370 would not since that, by and large is what we've seen from other chip sets....again though since we haven't tested i can't be sure.

WildFireVT - at the rate we've been selling them, the sale should be up for about a week. as far as i know the sale will continue until we're out of stock but predicting how fast they'll sell out is difficult.

Hmmm, I just checked the link and it says this says that this item is no longer available. A search of the Muskin site doesn't show them either. Damn, and my 6400 is set to arrive on 6/26, too!
