hi guys,

I have this router. Bought it for about $100 a long while ago (due to my other breaking down).

Let me just say I think this router blows chunks. It will not allow you to open ports for multiple computers on the network like the Linksys I had did. So, if you wanted to open a port for Bit Torrent, it can only be opened on one computer on the network. Maybe there is a way, but I can't figure it out and I have not updated the software on it for a while, so it could be different now. It also will not bridge and I can't find any 3rd party firmware that works on this to replace the crummy Netgear firmware.

Anyway, I was dissappointed.

Thanks for all the info on this deal! I went to BB yesterday in Portland and bought the last 4 they had in stock! Now it's time to see if I can get a couple rebates to go through!

The Best Buy rebate on the Pricegrabber site is for BEST BUY BUSINESS. Not sure if this makes a difference or not. The Best Buy site has the correct rebate. Now, though, the router is $29.99 AFTER REBATES. However, there is a coupon for $10 off several items (including router) that was SUPPOSED to be if you bought a laptop or desktop system. But it neglected to state that one the form. I got one in Atlanta this weekend for $19 using the coupon. The guy looked at the coupon, scanned it in, and away I went.

So, I finally got off my a$$ to submit the rebates for this product a while back... Got an email from Netgear today saying that they received my rebate forms...
Clicked on the Get Status link and the status is: Invalid - Invalid Purchase Location
DARN!

Oh, and btw, I love that the thread title still says "Neargear" instead of "Netgear"
