I'm not so sure. In the fine print on the rebate it says "Best Buy Business". That isn't the same as "Best Buy". I'm guessing either it's a retailer with a similar name, or maybe Best Buy has some sort of retail thing for buinesses. Either way, it's no guarantee that it will work.

I found this deal at BestBuy.com Friday night. I went to the store in Lafayette, Louisiana, Saturday and they must have had AT LEAST a dozen on the shelf for this price. One good note is that this router version is V6, making this a really good deal! This is the latest version which supports WPA. Buy.com has this router and the pc card for ~$34 after rebate, but I've read that they ship V1, which may or may not have a firmware upgrade to enable WAP.

This router replaces an old Seimens b router that would drop the wireless connection for about 5-10 minutes sometimes, then would work like a charm the rest of the day. Didn't know if it was the router or my Seimens pc card in my notebook. So far it's working well, but does take a few minutes to find the wireless card and stablize the connection.

I also wonder about the rebate - states Best Buy Business. Bestbuy does have a separate site for business (found it using google). So the rebate may/may not apply toward this purchase. I'll keep this router for several weeks to make sure it works OK in case I have to return it. If I keep it I'll mail in the rebate; there is nothing to lose. BUT you do have to send in the original UPC, which is why I'll wait to see if I keep it.

Also FYI, this deal is available online as well.

any way to run other firmware on this like the Linksys WRT54G? I have 2 54G's running the Sveasoft firmware to do bridging, but reception/throughput is horrible-my routers are 15 feet apart line of sight and I get about 10% connection strength between them. So I don't know if it's the firmware or the units themselves, but something is garbage.
