I got to BB at 10:15, there were 3. My BB had it clearly labeled on the tag about the rebate (got to love a good BB) so that made me happy. I looked around for about 3 or 4 minutes and then went back and double-checked the SKU(I am anal), the SKU was right but the number of routers had shrunk to 1*hmm*. I went to the line to check-out and found out where the other one went. The lady in front of me had it. As I was leaving the guy who checked my receipt said "wow, what a great deal"...I said "yeah, I bet the last one is gone before 11am" WELL, I went back to BB at 11:05 and guess what? All gone (tried to get another with my friend from work)

Oh well, thanks for the original post, you made me one happy customer !!

Kinda like buying a Pentium 550. Cheap, and functional, but not much future. I'm waiting to score a card to use with mine, so I figured it worked for me because I want to get wireless NOW, but dont know how long it's gonna last.
I think I got the last one from Southfield, MI, BTW.

Don

not much future? most people use these to share their internet connections, you just let me know when you get a 10mbps line hooked up to your house.... yeah

Thanks for saving me the trouble of saying that.

Picked up the last one at my BB (Dublin, OH). Tag had the 19.99 and rebate spit out at the register. Grabbed one of the adelphia install kits for free too

Thanks for the deal info! I scored one at the BB in Manhattan (Chelsea) two minutes ago. They have about three more on the shelf. Tag just says $49.99 but the $30 rebate prints out at the register.

Now I have two wireless routers that I have no use for. A few weeks ago I got in on the Office Depot Seimens wireless router deal. If only I could find a good deal on some wireless pc cards or wireless usb adapters.

I went in to my BB in Austin, they were sold out, but the guy ordered it for me, it will get to the store in 6 days. I Paid for it while I was there so the rebate printed and everything. Pretty sweet deal, I just got one for my brother in law a month ago. He loves it.

I ordered one at my local B&M in SW Fort Worth, TX because they are OOS. Should be delivered by the 22nd. The salesman told me that the entire Dallas/Fort Worth region is OOS for now....of course those were his words (unconfirmed). However, it was no problem to order.

Arg.. I knew I should have went yesterday. I went this afternoon to the Best Buy in Queens, Rego Park and it was sold out over there. I got home and called the one in Chelsea (Manhattan) and the CSR said they had about 5 left. Right before I was about to leave, I got this strange feeling and called them again. All sold out. ARG.

Hmm... does anyone think buying the router for $50 online is a good idea?

good question. can anyone answer definitively from their own experience? my initial thought is "yea that should work" but i don't honestly believe it will...

It would be great if someone could answer this. The only reason I would pick this up would be to bridge a connection from my PS2 downstairs to my Linksys WAP upstairs to get my PS2 online. If this would work, that would be sweet! I would rather spend $19.99 on this then $120 on the Linksys WET11.

Just from reading the description on the box, it doesn't seem that this thing can act like an access point. I wish it could, though.

For $19.99 it still may be worth it!

It will act as an access point. I replaced a belkin access point with it. This one definitely has better range. No more dropped connections from the other side of my house.
I had to connect to it via a wireless computer to set it up, because it comes with DNS turned on by default and set at the usual home IP address for internet sharing (a conflict). So I had to change the IP address and turn off the DNS.
My DSL is an interal PCI card, so I can't test the exact configuration one asked for (cable modem to Router -> wireless to another router), but I think I can test whether it will act as a bridge (one wired network to another), which it should do.

Wow, this was a great deal. I went to one of the BB's in Omaha, NE and they had two left. I snagged both of them. I wanted one more, but our other best buy was out of stock. I'm still happy. The wired version costs $30 more than this one even after rebate. I got one for my sister who just wants something to get internet on her laptop wirelessly and I also picked one up for my dad, but I might keep it for a while and give him my linksys.

I called yesterday and they told me it looked like a shipment was arriving that night and 4 would be available this morning.

I picked up mine at the Fresno store... at around 10:30 am PST... there were 3 left when I left the store.

Good luck!

I'm assuming you mean DHCP when you say DNS. I think I'll pick one of these up and give it a shot.

For those who can't get hands on this one because OOS, you can ask a sales to order one from Customer Fulfillment Service w/o shipping charge. That's what I did.
