A question: A friend of mine is interested in getting a router for his apartment. Problem is, he and his buddies all have desktops.. not laptops. So there's no point in going for this deal..unless I order the PC card. But I'd need an inexpensive PCI card adapter. If I can score an adapter for cheap, then I'll go for this awesome deal. Can anyone assist?
Thanks!!
Try this:
Compusa is 80+60 - 60 mail in = 80 final cost
Circuit City is 100+70 - 50 mail in - 20 mail in = 100 final cost
Pricematch as below is 80+60 - 50 mail in - 20 mail in - 30 giftcard = 40 final cost
Compusa has the Netgear MR814NA wireless router for $80 out of store and if you also buy the Netgear MA101 Wirless USB out of store for $60 you get $60 back in mail in rebates ($30 is from Compusa and $30 is from Netgear) so it ends up being free.
Circuit City has the router for $100 out of store and you get $50 back in mail in rebates ($30 from Circuit City and $20 from Netgear). They have the USB adapter for $70 out of store and you get back $20 in mail in rebates ($10 from Circuit City and $10 from Netgear).
I went to Circuit City and got them to 110% pricematch the Compusa router price so it came to just under the $80 and the $50 in rebates printed so final cost will be $30.
Circuit City told me they couldn't give me the USB adapter for free since they would lose money but they would sell it to me for $60 in stead of the $70 and would also give me a $30 giftcard to cover one of the rebates. I should still be able to get the $20 rebates on it also.
