My few cents on this deal :

1. Netgear's both rebates should work, becuase both the router and adapter are different 'products' so should not be a problem.
2. Amazon needs copies of the UPC not the originals, so cool
3. Anyone who bought it yesterday when adapter was $49.99 can call Amazon and get $5 back

Sure, you should be able to use this just as a wireless router rather than a full out gateway.

ordered the router and used the 10 off 75 coupon
ordered the card seperately and used the 5 off 35 coupon

too bad amazon doesn't do PM, otherwise you can PM w/ buy.com for 59

for me w/o PM

router 84.99 - 10 - 20 rebate = 54.99
card 44.99 (last night was 44.99) - 5 - 10 = 29.99
combo rebate -50
total for me is ~ 34

if you can do it w/ PM then you can probably get it for ~10

great deal if you ask me

have you noticed that the combined rebate $50 will only be effective for purchasing router and card together. I don't what's the definition for "purchasing together" for amazon. You'd better call amazon to make sure that you can get the deal. good luck.

under the word "amazon.com", the bold black word "consumer must purchase both products together (ASIN# and ASIN#) to be eligible to receive a rebate." You'd better to call amazon.com to make sure that your deal is good.

A question: A friend of mine is interested in getting a router for his apartment. Problem is, he and his buddies all have desktops.. not laptops. So there's no point in going for this deal..unless I order the PC card. But I'd need an inexpensive PCI card adapter. If I can score an adapter for cheap, then I'll go for this awesome deal. Can anyone assist?
