Just to let everyone know i just got 15 165 from Monarch and they are all CCBBE and I'm getting some good speeds out of them right now this is it at 2.7 i have got it to 2.8. I'm prob going to try to sell the rest

i've seen quite a few CCBBE0610DPMW hit 2.7-2.8 on stock volts. its a real nice stepping. CCB1E 0608MPMW is still king opty165 i believe though.

My friend got a new x2 3800. and his stepping is 0608 RPMW. Is that a good stepping?

That's nice, but try doing dual, large FFT testing (max cpu heat) and see how far they go.

I have my CCBBE 0610DPMW Opty 165 in my SN25P shuttle runnin 2.7GHz @ default voltage.
Too bad I can't go any higher. She's maxed out.:beer:

it is.

there seems to be no consensus on how to run prime.

everyone uses a different method.

i am a fan of small fft. small fft heats up more than large at least from what i've seen.

also i've had large run 13+ hours while small would error out in 5 seconds. that's why i prefer small over large.

I have a CCB1E 0608MPMW but will only do 2.65 at stock voltage. I've tried up to 2.9 but it took more voltage than I'm comfortable with and core #1 seems to crap out early. Seems like this one would be better suited to watercooling.

I suppose I should try to find my limits again after all the burning in I've done and see if I bought myself any more headroom. For 24/7 usage though I'm doing 2.6 at a slight undervolt of 1.3v and it's plenty fast enough for me.

CCB1E 0608MPMW is still the best stepping from what i've seen. their biggest fall back is they seem to run pretty hot. so excellent cooling is generally required to get them to their full potential.

I ran some preliminary tests with mine (CCBBE 0610DPMW) and it looks like it will do 2700 at stock 1.3V, 2850 at 1.425V, 2900 at 1.5V and really struggles to go any higher. It may be a temperature issue, as they tend to go over 50 with the last setting (on a big typhoon). I'll probably use the 2850 setting for long term 24/7 use, as the temperatures don't cross 45 at that setting.

From the Hardforum thread, they seem to be slightly worse than the 0608s but still pretty close, about on par with the 0550s. I think mine is one of the crappier ones actually, although at 2.85 I'm hardly complaining.

FYI, absolute is really doing 1.49v for 2.95 because of the DFI voltage sensor. Mine actually says 1.4v when I am at 2950, 1.31 when Im at 2850.

@YOSHI I have the same chip running at 3.06ghz as well, but only 1.42 volts.
