The desk looks all right, but it's laid out like dick. Even OD didn't know how to arrange the stuff on it. It's better than a card table or an old door with saw horses, I guess.

That's odd, when I was there at the store to pick it up and I asked the guy where I can get the Mail In Rebate form and he was confuse. Anyway, they provides the form online also. The price ring up really was $99.97 - $20 coupon + $4 Tax = $83.97

One coupon per order only so don't use the $15 but it's also out there.

It looks very nice. I will setup the desk tonight and do that $100 Mail In Rebate.

I made the same deal. $100 B&M with $100MIR. Oregon no sales tax.
The desk is real heavy. The demo at store looks quite nice. The rebate form is printer out at check-out.

At my store (Tallahassee Cap CR NE) they had a display of them with a big sign $199.xx. Wouldn't budge on matching the internet price.

Went to go pick up the desk I reserved earlier today. The manager refused to match the internet price b/c of the rebate. Well duh, why else would I buy a computer desk I most likely do NOT need? Congrats to those who got the in-store price of 99.99. One question though, won't the people who process the rebate see that you only paid 99.99 instead of 199.99 for it? THe rebate says this desk would be 50% off, hence the $100 back on a $200 purchase. Any thoughts?

I got one. When I went to the nearest OD, there is only floor sample left without box (UPC?). The price tag showed "in store instant rebate $100 plus $100 MR". I asked the CSR if there are any left in other stores and matching the price. The CSR guy was very friendly, made the call, confirmed the price and reserved one in another OD store. So I went there and picked it up. I'm in Chicagoland.

BTW, the real desk looks much nicer than its picture.

I went to my local OD and they told me that the price of $99 is AFTER the MIR.
I think she just hates people in general and don't want to help anyone....she may just need to get some lovin' :lips:
You might have better luck with your local OD.

Interesting... I didn't need to use an online printout at all. Went to two OD stores.

First one out of stock. Two people came in when I was asking an looks like they got the last two via an internet order. Suxage. :|

Went to a second OD which for some reason isn't listed on their online store directories and they had TONS left.

Both stores when I had the CSR check showed up as 99.97.

Confirmed. Just bought one at OD on El Camino and El Monte in Mtn View at 5 pm. They had 3 left after me.
Already assembled it. It's a nice desk, with REAL wood. It's a worthy replacement for my previous desk which I got from OD on clearance for $20.

Just picked one of these up in San Jose off of Blossom Hill, floor guy was really nice and I asked him if the price was $199.95 or $99.95 as advertised on the website (*It was advertised on the floor model at $199.95) and he said he'd check the computer, watched him check it and it said $99.95 and he gave it to me at that price. at the register the guy told me there was a $100 dollar rebate and printed it out for me. I just finished putting it together and it is a very stable desk and is currently holding my overside 19" monitor, steering wheel, and joystick with tons of room to spare. Only complaint is that I have to reach for my mouse, but i'm thinking about making/buying a solution (there are these mouse trays that have arm supports and everything that bolt onto your desk).
Thanks for the find! BTW: The wood pieces that make up the top/botom and shelf/file cabinet are solid wood, with a nice finish. I was expecting something built cheaper.

Well I just picked one up too. Marked $99 clearance then the $99 rebate. FREE was clearly stated on the pricetag. I also had them deduct $20 for their $20 off $75 coupon. I needed to replace my kid's comp desk - they paid me to take one. The $20 paid for about $40 of other clearnace stuff that was 50% off today only. A good day indeed.

Depending on how it looks I may get another for my rig and replace my huge old desk.

I too am going to attach a piece of wood to the top of the filing stand - sit my machine on that leaving the top of the desk for monitor / speakers.

Just finished building this desk... And first thing I noticed was... WOW... It's REAL wood... not the cheapo particle board/fiber wood stuff. Didn't expect a "free" desk to be made of this.

I'm impressed.
