Syntax-Olevia 47" 1080p LCD

This is CC's Thanksgiving Special. They have for sale the Syntax Olevia 247TFHD 47" 1080p LCD TV for $1099.
The 10% Off Coupons seems to be working.

$1099 - 10% = $989.10..!!!

**On the billing information page, above the credit card information, it says "Would you like to use an eGift card, gift card or merchandise card, or apply a coupon?". Choose "Yes" and it will open up the box to enter the coupon code.

**Internet only: Save an additional 10% using coupon code
AAA Coupons also seem to be working...

AAA coupon not working either.

We're sorry; the coupon code entered is invalid. Status = <3>

Does the series number indicate that the TV's starting with a 2 are not as good as TV's starting with a 7?

747 seems to be newer, but it's 1080i. 247 is 1080p

I bought this one yesterday using an AAA coupon (applied in-store after some flirting). I really like the TV thus far.

You guys think the 247TFHD is a good deal? I have a WH 1080p, the other one from bestbuy for 998$ still in the box, wondering if I should take that back and get this with 5" more?

I waited on line at BJ's for this. There seem to be plenty available when I left after 7am this morning. It seems the major purchases of everyone on line were the lcds or the gps stuff. The Sylvania's and both Olevia models seem to be flying out the door.

I am still trying to get the best picture out of this lcd. My wife seem to think that the 42 inch Sceptre we got from Costco a while back has a better and clearer picture. That is going into the basement since our Sony projection has decided to buy the farm. I am not sure if 2 moves later and all that shaking had anything to do with it. LOL

I am still making adjustments so the verdict is out.

btw, does anyone have the universal remote code for this lcd set. It seems its so new that none of the ones printed on my cable remote brochure works.

I bit on this deal, was able to use a AAA coupon before they killed coupons through the website.

Since the AAA coupon doesn't exclude this TV, I would suggest printing it & asking them to apply the coupon in store after ordering the TV online.

My CC didn't have a single Olevia on display, I suspect the margin on them is such that they'd rather display higher profit margin panels.

These are a relatively new generation of TV's and are reported to use Sharp LCD's.

I'm very impressed with mine.

It seems that all coupon have been disabled

Has anyone got any of them to work recently? I really want the Olevia 47" but tax kills the deal for me, the 10% would negate that.

Any ideas?

Their site says that when you actually pick it up in the store if the in-store price is cheaper you will get that price... so I am guessing that would take into account any specials/deals, but I'm not sure if online price + in-store coupon would work...
