Why do they even bother putting those drives in the ads? From what I've heard, most stores have very few, if any at all.

And no DVDRW this week, they must have sold their entire stock

Yeah, that's sweet if you have a store nearby, but since they haven't been putting them on the website this past couple weeks, and getting through on the phone is time consuming (at best), it seems the rest of us are screwed.

Oh, and yeah.....my OM was one that closed back when they ran into financial difficulties. Now I just have a short 95 mile drive to the closest OM!!

where are you getting rainchecks for AR price out the door? I was only able to get the advertised price on my raincheck, and was told the rebate period would be extended since so many people wanted the drive....

Thats why you've gotta go now and pick the hard drive up, then return/repurchase it during the promotional period. I did that for the WD120 last week, but I havent had a chance to make it back up there to get a new receipt.

I went to get the 100 pack of DVD+R's and they said they had like 6 at opening. I was there 5 minutes after and they were all gone. Anyhow the flyer didn't have DVD+RW's listed but I looked on the shelf anyhow. I found a 10 pack of Imation of DVD+RW's for $20. I thought that was a good deal. They had a sale tag on the shelf for them. They just wern't advertised.

I have Officemax raincheck for 80gig(last weeks). Is that mean i get the harddrive $20 out the door? or do i have to pay $80 bucks-MIRs?

Not quite sure where the name came from, but what it amounts to is an IOU of sorts - if you go to the store to buy something that's on sale and it's not in stock, they'll give you something saying that you can come in and pick that item up at the sale price when they get it back in stock - even if the sale is over by the time they get more. They're usually good for a couple weeks or so.

Purchased online at full price ($179.00) and will take into local OfficeMax for return/rebuy when arrives on Monday. I tried for the 80gb and 120gb drives locally on first Sunday with no success so went this way. OfficeMax return policy states that officemax.com purchases can be returned at B&M stores.
