Bleh. Finally got around to installing this card and cannot get it to work. Tried in two different capable systems. Will start to boot but no video output and no beeps that anything is wrong with the system. Going to RMA it for a replacement.

happened to me, i used IGP (or you could use the last video card that was in the system) then i installed the drivers for the card BEFORE i plugged the card in. then i put the card in and it booted up fine.

Mine kept locking up in Xfire and by itself. No problems with the other card, so it is not drivers.

Disappointing news. I kind of regretted skipping out on this deal (for crossfire with my reference XFX), but not so much anymore. The reviews on Newegg have been taking a nosedive for the XFX 5850s (especially the Black), and now we have a pretty high failure rate here. Not good, XFX, not good.

Mine seemed to work. It reboot my computer while running Unigine Heaven benchmark. Maybe it's because I OC the core to 750 and memory to 1100. I thought that was a pretty low OC. Since I've already cut out the UPC I can only get it repaired from xfx right?
Kinda wish I went for the HD 6850 despite that being a slower card.

Your overclock failing is not a reason to RMA. In fact it is fraud if you give a false reason for RMAing. People like you drive up the costs of cards for the rest of us.

If your card runs fine at stock settings, then XFX has delivered as promised. If you want a "guaranteed" OC, pay the extra money up front for a OC version of the card.

Easy, easy - I don't think he's really going to try to RMA it.

Truth is, if the card is failing at 750/1100, the card will probably fail at stock clocks. That's a really tame OC and shouldn't push the card at all. In that case, yes, you should get it repaired by XFX, but first do a few tests at stock speed.
