go here and click on "290-390nm ULTRAVIOLET" on the left for info on UV led's from four or five different makers.http://ledmuseum.home.att.net/ledleft.htm They also compare leds in ever color from INFRARED 700nm - 4.6µm to WHITE 5500° to 8000° Kelvin.
Doesn't the Sony Nightshot handycams work off of UV light? If so, just stick 10 or so of these LED's together to make a powerful spotlight for your Nightshot handycam!
radio shack does carry a 2v UV led in their stores for $1.99 i think.... 80 MCD is not exactly bright. match that up with the appropriate resistor and bam!
If you guys in AZ want to do some time-sharing just let me know. I'm getting SO sick of seeing snow out my front windows. We're already over 20 inches above our all-time record here in Marquette, Michigan (Upper Peninsula). We're currently at 299.2 inches. That's 25 FEET of snow guys!!! I got my snowmobile stuck in my DRIVEWAY the other day and we're supposed to break the 300 inch mark by the end of the week.
And these pictures were taken when we only had 230 inches of snow, so image this PLUS 70 more! Hmmm.... Maybe if I buy a WHOLE BUNCH of these LEDs and hooked 'em up in my front yard they'll help get rid of this white crap a little quicker.....
