Hot or Not? TDK 16x +/- DVD media $11.99 @ CC

Picked up some of these today and will burn off some tonight. DVD Identifier shows them as CMC Magnetics Corp Media ID M01

I vaguely recall that CMC stuff was only marginal, could anyone post some opinions on this deal and the media? Thanks.

That's a horrible deal for CMC discs. If they were actual TDK discs then it would be a good deal.

TDK seems to be using CMC more and more as the last two times I tried buying their discs they turned out to be CMC. I'm not going to try buying their discs again unless they put some sort of external identifier to differentiate between TDK media and whatever coasters they're trying to fluff up their supply with.

TDK's are hit and miss. I picked up a pack of 8X DVD+Rs from Radio Shack around Christmas for $9.99 and they will only burn at 4X.

Still a decent deal for a lot of media.

No you wern't, still arn't...you don't have any quanty listed at all, could be single, double, pack of 5, pack of 10, spildle of 25, spindle of 30, spindle of 50, spindle of 100, or even 2 spindles of 100 (200 total), etc.

Also, Circuit City has cake sleeves of 100 x 80 minute TDK CD-R's for $11.99. I haven't cracked them open yet but they are made in Taiwan. Even though I don't burn these much anymore, 12 cents apiece for a CD sounds pretty good to me.
