All computer cases are on sale as well. That makes the Antec Aria $66 after 20% off and $30 MIR. That's pretty damn hot too.

And a cheapie MGE case for $14 AR
MC Link
Newegg Link

Ultra case $20 AR
Link

A couple of potentially hot deals on other video cards:
AIW X800 XT AGP $210 AR
Link

X1800 XL $290 AR
Link

Evga 6600 GT PCI-E $101 AR
Link

Evga 6800 GS PCI-E $156 AR
Link

Those may not be a part of the "select graphics cards" on sale though, guess we'll see.

Sigh... The Duron runing at 2.4 is going to limit the X850XT's full potential. Of course the card itself is not comparable to a 9800 Pro, but when you stick it into something that is going to limit it's potentials, the card will obviously be performing less than it actually can.

Dang, this deal is on fire but won't this card get bottlenecked by many AGP running computers? Just curious, as I have a Duron running at 2.4 gigs. Not sure if I should jump on this deal though, if the card is going to be slightly better than a 9800 Pro.

Why on God's green Earth would you think that the X850XT would be only slightly faster than a 9800pro on a Duron @ 2.4? It would be great on that system.

Also, AGP is not (yet) a bottleneck.

will my rig bottleneck this card ?

Your rig should be fine, although another 512 MB of memory would help out immensely.

I was in the Cambride, MA store today getting a $50 credit for the one I bought just before xmas and noticed that there were at least 2 dozen on the shelf. I don't think these cards are moving as fast as they woud like. If I were a betting man, I'd say they will be reduced even further in the next few weeks.

Well its AGP... Most people who crave this kind of performance have gone PCI-E, while most who stay with AGP stick with their onboard or FX5200...

Haha, how can people who stick with AGP go with onboard? Onboard is onboard, AGP is AGP, and PCI-E is PCI-E.
So people who stay with AGP stick with AGP. Duh!

Very hot, but my old computer with AGP isn't really deserving of such a nice card (really old P4)... too bad I'm on PCIE now.

Too bad you're on PCIE? I wish I was on PCIE, then I could pick up a 7800GT.

Not only that, but your options for a GPU are much better than those with AGP mobos, plus the PCIE version of a card is usually cheaper than the AGP version too.

I'll probably upgrade to PCIE in a year or two.

Okay, perhaps I should have used better wording. The card in my PCIE box is a Radeon x800 XL. I love PCIE. It's great. And I assume AGP is going to get phased out sooner or later anyway. It's only "too bad" in the sense that I can't utilize this deal, or else I'd buy the card. If I hadn't bought a new computer over the summer, then I'd probably still be running with the 9600 XT that remains in my old box to this very day. So it's not a bad thing, I just regret not being able to justify purchasing a card like that despite the most excellent price.

Got in on it too! I was surprised to see that they changed the price on Jan. 2nd... but they did! $199 for a card that doesn't go less than $300 is molten hot! Best deal of the New Year!

Just called the Fairfax VA store. They've corrected the price to $239.99 before the $50 rebate, which is what the e-mail ad stated [20% off $299.99, then $50 rebate].

Real price AR is $189.99 + tax

About 109 left in stock!

If you order online and do in-store pickup, you get it w/o tax, which might come out better than $189.99 + tax. In my state (GA) it is better. I'm in for two!!
