Not only can I not find that part on Staples site, I can't find any CPU's by searching. Anyone have a link to a listing of them because I thought Staples didn't carry any?

I did this the other day. You have to call to special order the CPU, as it's an Ingram Micro part and they need to order it. The phone call should only take a few minutes. They shouldn't have any problem matching GoogleGear.com's price.

It's an Ingram Micro part number. I guess someone on the inside can look it up.

You can deduce the part number by looking up the item on sites like Sparco.

Whatever the part number there, you reverse the first three, then the second three, then add "IM1" to the beginning of it.

For instance, if the part # you get from Sparco is 123456, then its Ingram Micro part # would be IM1321654. That's what you would give to the Staples rep on the phone.

Sorry if it's a little unclear; it's a lot less complicated than it might sound.

There's a massive thread over at FW that gives all the details on it. Before asking repetitive questions there, I'd suggest taking out a chunk of time to go through the thread as most of your questions will probably be answered already. Lots of good info.

I'm surprised not that many people are responding to this deal. Yeah, pricewatch is best. Really, this isnt a hot deal. $150 is about what 2.4c costs so... Personaly, id get the 2.6 or 2.8. Thats what I will be getting soon. Prices ive found for retail boxes are these:

P4 2.8c: $266 shipped(not including tax)
P4 2.6c: $216 shipped(not including tax)
P4 2.4c: $173 shipped(not including tax) <-- although 2.4 was on another site for $155, I cant find it now though : /

I'm trying to decide too. It's either the Asus P4P800 Deluxe or the Abit IS7-E. They're pretty closely equipped, but I've heard that the Abit is a kickass overclocker. I guess this might belong in "Motherboards" now, but does anyone have a suggestion?

Edit: The Asus is ~140 and the Abit is ~105
