I first went to comp usa Tuesday and asked the manager about the card because there wasn't any. It took like 20 minutes because they had no idea of the sale. They told me that late this week they will have some and that I can buy it now and get it later. Went back Wednesday to buy two of them and they were in stock. Two left in Oxnard. Verified 8x, 128mb good deal thanks for the heads up.

Besides if you look on PNY website, they don't even mention a 64 8x version, only 128 8x. Plus, I got sick and tired of my crapusa not having any in stock. PNY 's website
Who said it was the box w/out the stickers? Looking here, I see a sticker. Also, looking at PNY's site, I see a reference to a 64MB card.

If you don't pick this up in person, it's a crapshoot.

Newegg is selling the older 4x version (which you referenced) and the newer 8x, which is the 128 8x version, I believe everyone is receiving. Will know for sure in a day or so.

My gaming PC thanks you for this deal. I found 2 at the PV CompUSA in Phoenix. No sticker but no date codes either. They were priced at $169 but with the online ad they gave them to me for $129 with a $30 rebate. Get 'em home and sure enough 128MB 8x with DVI out and everything, pretty decent deal. The Scottsdale CUSA only had stickered models. CC at Scottsdale Pavillions also had one without the sticker but would only PM to $129 so I left it for someone else.

Thanks again.

I'm using Riva Tuner. Works well.

Just got the card today, and it's the one with the "64 meg Ti4200 is faster sticker" on the front. ARGH! No chance of it being a 128 meg card, right? Oh well, guess I might keep it anyway, $84 for a ti4200 isn't too bad.

EDIT: 64 meg, AGP8x. Still, not too shabby for $84.

Got one today. Picked out the last one in my local circuit city. Made two trips to find the one without the "ti4200 64mb crushes 128mb" but was definitely worth it. Quick summary of what I did.

1.) checked all compusa - sold out
2.) printed compusa ad - CompUSA ad
3.) went to local circuit city with a print out of the compusa ad
4.) picked out the box without the label "ti4200 64mb crushes ti4200 128"
5.) went straight to the register and got the 110% PM. Final price: $93+tax
6.) open it up, the UPC code on the backside was 7 51492 22316 2 (different from the UPC code on the box

Hope this helps anyone who are still considering getting one.

This deal made my day

What was the UPC on the box? 7 51492 21937 0? All this time I've been looking for a box with the 7 51492 22316 2 UPC. Does this UPC only appear on the card?

yup...the upc on the box is 7 51492 21937 0. the other upc (which is for the 128) is only found on the card itself!

Picked one up at CC today no stickers on the box and it was the 128 8X inside. Only problem is the Manager would not price match to 99.99. It was price 169 at CC and he gave me 30 off and the 10% on the difference. Even showed him a print out of a CC receipt but since it was dated 2/22 he said that was a different sales week. Oh well if anyone has a CC receipt dated this week I would love to have a copy.

On a side note, I have a 8250 that was super silent but not anymore with this card.... hold on I think it's about to take off.:Q

Well I went back today and got the 110% PM to CompUsa since a different manager was on duty. I picked up the last one in stock for a friend at 92.99. Was surprised it was still there since I brought it to the register yesterday, they actually put it back in the right spot. Lost about 3 dollars since they gave me 10% on the difference of the orginal price match to 140 but hey I'm not complaining.

Has anyone received this card from a web order? I placed an order on Friday night..... card should be here tomorrow or Wed. Im hoping for a nice suprise!!!

You probably already read my post a few pages back...I ordered online but only got the 64 meg version. Didn't install it to see if it's 8X AGP, but I doubt it as the sticker says nothing about 8x...good luck.

If I got a card with sticker GF4TI4200AGP8X (note, without 128M after it)
Model number VCGF4T42A8PB, UPC is also the same as other people mentioned on the 128M card. Can anyone confirm it is a 128M card?
It is from compusa.

Thanks.

Pricematched at CC - but they would only give me a $70 GC for the difference I knew it would be the 64MB card from the sticker outside, and so it was - but it was the only piece out there and I didn't want to wait over the weekend since my CUSA still shows OOS It is 8x AGP though. Can I return the GC alone to another CC? She billed the vid. card at $99 and added the $70 GC as a separate item. I also have a pre-buy at CUSA. If the CUSA card turns out to be a 128MB, I hope CC will take back the stupid GC along with the 64MB card

Sorry I wasn't clear but the manager would not accept the copy of a CC receipt that was dated in last weeks sale period. He did not dispute the CompUsa ad.

Yes, it seems that I got a 128MB card. While still some questions,

1. If you go to Display Properties --> Settings --> GeForce4 Ti 4200 with AGP8X,
following information is shown, Adapter information (bus type AGP 4X, onboard memory 128MB). Do you have the same information as I shown?

2. I use Sandra 2002 did a check, it reports that 128MB video (64MB AGP). Do you also have the same information?

Thanks.

In my Sandra, it reports that 127MB video (62MB AGP). Weird!

You are not the only one that claimed to this cool outcome via a COMPUSA blunder! Many others have mentioned they got the 128mb version after paying for a way cheaper 64mb one in the futuremark forums! And congrat's on ur luck!

It makes sense. And I just think the 62mb or 64mb maybe meaning the size in system memory. But where is the 127mb coming from for my card? it supposes to be128mb

Then how to change it to make it show as 128MB AGP?

Thanks.

Update:

after I edit my bios setting for Win Graph Size to 128 from 64 now it shows 128MB AGP. But I still get AGP4X in the display property page even if AGP8X is in the title of the card. Is it because of my motherboard? It only support AGP4X. I only see one selection of enable AGP 4X in bios.

Any suggestions? Thanks a lot.
