not bad for an inexpensive case with a little flair to it. Looks to be the standard steel cased floating around from powmax, raidmax, or whatever that are going fairly cheap. I have a rig setup with a case that is similar. It works well enough. The PSU is more then likely a PoS though. Still, if anyone is building their first rig or looking to build an inexpensive secondary rig these cases work well for that.

Bare in mind, they are fairly heavy for an aluminum case.

Just keep in mind that you'll want to change out the PS. Take a look at the review comments on that page. Case looks pretty nice for just $30 though, PS or no PS. Maybe ebay the PS to sweeten the deal.

i hate my powmax, it's the worst case in the world.

the internal design is terrible, it's so hard getting agp/pci cards in and out of there, there's this stupid metal shield right over the holding screws so it's impossible to screw down cards.

the screws and bolts to the side window are falling out.

the wiring is all labeled poorly, and it came with NO instructions WHATSOEVER. e-mailing them for help yielded absolutely nothing, not even a reply.

i wouldn't recommend free powmax cases.

It sure has an "interesting" look, I'll grant you, but even for the cheap price, I'll stick with my Antec Sonata, thanks.

You get what you pay for...and that is almost always true with cases and power supplies.

I wouldn't touch that combo with a 10' pole.

you people are too critical, for 30 bucks, i think its a good deal despite all the "bad features"

i mean you get what you paid for, right? for those who cant shell out 130 bucks for an antec case, wouldn't this be considered HOT?

there's this stupid metal shield right over the holding screws so it's impossible to screw down cards.

Question? Did you look on the back of the case, and notice a screw holding that shield in place? The cases I've seen and worked with before, that had a similar setup, had a screw on the back of the case holding the shield in place. Take that screw out, and slide the shield up. It then should just pop off the back of the case, allowing you to access the card hold-down screws. Once you're done, just pop the shield back on, and put the screw (or better yet, a thumbscrew) back in.

Yeah, it's cheap, but effective. The first time I ran across one of these, it took me a minute or so to figure it out......but then, it's usually the simple things that do!! LOL

I have one of these cases, the PSU blew within two hours after I turned the computer on for the first time. Other than that, this is a pretty decent case for the money. The front leds are powered by a molex connector that you can unplug if you want. It's made of cheap aluminum/some other soft metal and the plastic feels a bit cheap and light, but hey, it's only $30, and it looks better than in the pictures, although I wish the front was designed differently. The sides and top look nice tho.

Note that the metal is thin, flimsy, and PSU may fry your parts.
That's not a threadcrap, it's a product description.

ALso, is OOS.
