The specifications on the site nor the official Hyundai/ImageQuest site don't say what the response time is, but this is the response I got via email from one of their sales reps:

The lowest response time I have ever heard is 10ms rise, and 15ms fall, so

That's crazy, is it really possible that the monitor could be 20ms response time, and for so cheap? The site offers this monitor for $508. I'm currently in the market for an LCD, and this one seems too good to be true. The contrast ratio and brightness are up there among some of the best, it has a 20ms response time (rise/fall included) and sports both analog and DVI and also a 2-port USB hub! Just a heads up for those also looking!

Interesting. Feature-for-feature, I would pick the Hyundai monitor simply because it sports analog and a DVI-D interface. That alone is usually a $50-100 premium over analog only models, like the Costco one. The thing I'm finding with esystor is that they're ripping you *bad* on the shipping. UPS ground from California to NJ for the 20lb package is quoted as ~$43, but the UPS site itself only lists ~$20 for full insurance. :|

Wow 20ms response time. amazing. and for only $508? dang, nice deal. I think the contrast ratio could use a little more (400+:1) but 350 ain't too bad, esp at $508.

we have a bunch of those krad costco cheapies, they work great since most of us don't have dvi video..

its truly a blessing to go from LCD at work to LCD at home on your eyes.

And...I'd bet dollars to cop food that 95% of the people on this board could not tell the difference bewteen DVI and analog. Reminds me of people who have never used Monster Cable syaing that they would assume it sounds better than mediocre wire on their $400 stereo setups...anyhoo...

Actually, I did a little searching for this monitor, found mostly Korean sites but number specifications are number specifications in any language. Check it out here. Right above the picture of the monitor, it has a string of specifications in some language. At the end, it says "nopea (20ms) n&Atilde;¤yt&Atilde;¶n virkistys", I guess that means response time - rise and fall.

I find it funny...one site and the sales rep from ImageQuest told me 20ms, but these two German/Swedish sites say 25ms?

this site seems abit shady to me

if you really want a cheap 17" lcd, the envision is highly rated....and you could always snag a cheap one from dell (planar, or dell rebadged samsungs). i think you can even pick up some samsung 17s for cheap

of course, to get most of those that cheap requires amex pm

The Envisions are alright, but they don't have the greatest response time, and don't have DVI. This Hyundai has them both, at a price very similar to the Envision. Just waiting for someone to order it and see what their experience with it is .

not really having to do with this specific deal, but i see that this place is shipping out of city of industry, and im pretty sure new egg ships out of the area too. i ordered my computer parts a while back from new egg at my parents house in west covina, and didnt realize that they were so close by...I could have saved myself a hundred bucks if i had picked it up directly. has anyone ever tried doing this with an online store? Since i go to school in Nor Cal and my parents live in LA, i could potentially save some major $$$ if this were possible, since a lot of online stores ive seen are from these two areas... any suggestions?

the only bad thing about hyundai is the company is teetering on bancruptcy, especially with the disapproval of the hynix merger. since it affects the whole korean chaebol or whatever, then keeping the memory division will hurt the monitor and car divisions even.

Nice price. I recently bought a Samsung 170mp for $750 AR but didn't post it because people didn't have the 15% off dell small business coupon anymore (at the wallet, a thread with people asking for a onetime use code got bumped so many times its not even funny..). Hmmm...I am tempted, but with tax and shipping it's 583 for me...and that's with "cheap" $33 shipping (I guess it's like a dollar a mile, geez)!

I think S13 was e-mailing this place for the return policy.

The website says shipping non-refundable, 15% for non-defective/not compatible returns, 25% for incorrectly shipped back items, etc.
