Are the batteries at full capacity when shipped? I immediately had my 2000mAh ones charged for 3hrs in the v1000 and they did not work in my powershot a40 digital camera. Overcharged?

you may have to check if the charger works or not

Looks like UPS lost my shipment! Its been sitting @"out for delivery" status since Tuesday. Finally called today and they have no clue about it. Guess I'll just have to be patient until they find the package or vendor ships replacement.

For anybody who has received their order.....please test out these puppies and post your results.

xwave558 - Yes. That's why you should have a good charger - one that will automatically go into trickle charge mode when the batteries are fully charged. That way you can leave them in the charger with no harm done. Cheapo chargers might not have a trickle charge mode - in that case your batteries could be damaged by overcharging.

Thanks quincy2002, I am going to order the Maha one, unfortunately it is a little bit costly

Well worth it though for the peace of mind and features in my opinion. I have a MH-C204F and it has served me well.

Yes, definitely worth it. I have the MH-C204F too, but I'm thinking of getting the newer model C401FS. I have some FRS radios that use 3 AA, what a PITA. The C401FS can charge each battery separately, the C204F cannot.

I'm in as well. Thanks for the deal & the discount clickdog

Amazing how many things take AA's. I've already got 24 of 'em being used around the house. $29.03 shipped!

Thanks for the heads-up. I've been using Fuji and Powerex 1600 Ni-MH rechargables in my Fuji FinePix 4700 digital camera (which is great on battery usage) and other items with great success. But this deal is just too good. I've never ordered from this company before, however, the reviews seemed mostly positive and I used plastic! Here's how it went:

24 pcs battery pack.............$24.99
5% discount...........................-1.25
Subtotal.................................23.74
UPS Ground Shipping..................00
Cali Tax..................................+1.96
Total.......................................25.70
Savings (?).............................49.25

Just placed order...bookmarked so I can go back and compare cellphone, laptop, etc. batteries.

Plus they offered a 5% off coupon code on my next order (same see clickdog in thread)! Note: The discount offered in this thread just about covered the Cali Tax for this order THX clickdog

BTW, I use a Maha MH-C204F battery charger which I've had for 2 or 3 years. It charges 2 or 4 batteries at a time and has been excellent.

Forgot something. Before I use a new rechargable battery, I throw it in the charger and bring it to "full" indicated power. Then I use it until my camera or what ever shuts down from lack of power. I do this a couple of times because there are differing views on "battery memory and conditioning". As for batteries that I'm not using, I use my FoodSaver to vacuum seal them and put them in the frig. Don't know if it helps, but don't think it hurts.

What i am concerning is these 1.2V batteries (NiMH) work with my 2x1.5V cameras?

Yes, standard 1.5 batteries come down to a 1.2 operating voltage during use, these batteries are very good quality. They even ship in the logitech products. I got some of these as a present for my brother last christmas, and they worked great, and good price. Now I need some for myself so I am gonna order some.
Most devices you won't have a problem. Others DO. I have a Garmin GPS that uses 4 AAs and if I try and use NiMHs, I get a warning every time about low power and it stops working soon after. (have tried multiple NiMH brands). The .3 volt difference would be additive if they are used in series, so it probably would be more likely to be a problem for devices that use more batteries (2x .3 = .6V off, 4x .3= 1.2V off, etc.).

It starts out at 1.5 but will slowly level out at 1.2 and then die fairly quickly. It does not hold a constant. BUt what you may need is higher mAh ratings, similarly I have these batteris in my logitech mouse and it works fine.

Oh. I understand now. Yossarian, you're misreading, or misrepresenting those graphs. Those show the voltage GIVEN a specific power drain over time (or specific Amps). If your device doesn't use that much power, your voltage will not respond like those do. Also, when you stop or reduce power drain, you give the Alkalines batteries chemical reaction a chance to catch up and the voltage returns to previous levels.

That is a really good price but I'd like to see AAA instead of AA. Almost all of the 15 or so remote controls I have run on AAA. I should also say that about the only in this house that uses standard batteries is remote controls.

:Q

I would hate to have to look for a remote in your house... I have enough trouble keeping track of my 3 remotes
