Hot -> Samsung 150S 15" LCD Monitor for $195 after Rebate

I searched the forum but could not find this deal. Office Depot has the Samsung sync Master 15" LCD monitor for $276. Search for 934939 on the office depot site. There is 15% off coupon for $75 or more for Office Depot out there.
There is also a $40 rebate on the monitor , thus reducing the price to $195.00 shipped free.

Nice deal. What's the response time on this? I may pick one up if it's typical Samsung quality...

No DVI, though (although that's to be expected on 15".)

i don't remembery anyone saying anything bad about a samsung LCD. so i guess it's a pretty save bet. especially for this price.

i would jump on it if i didn't get my Dell's 18 for 400.

now come to think about it, for 400 i can get 2 of these things

Yeah, I have the 151s....I assume they're pretty much the same...I paid $375 for it last june..


Anyway, my mom uses it now...I got a 19" but I used it for a year, and quite frankly its a great looking monitor, top notch....if you look at cnet, its still like the highest rated LCD despite being over a year old....this is assuming the 151s I own is about the same as the 150s in this deal.

From the Samsung website, the 150S appears to have the same specs as the 151S except the 151S has a pivot base. Has anyone seen any reviews on either?

Havent seen one yet, the Office Depot guy said they were in sales Flyer but none of the area stores in Virginia have them in yet so I cant play with it yet. I should pressure them into giving me a discount off another model since I would consider this to be false advertising if the area stores had no stock but they advertised it

Yes i just went to Office Depot and found the Samsung monitors to be the best. This particular model looks good and i am considering it heavily for the price that office depot is offering.


* HOWEVER, on the site, when trying to order this model, it says it is discontinued and that the process cannot be completed. Anybody know a solution to this problem? I'm gonna call my local OD B&M to see if they accept the 15% coupon code in the store.

I got the 'discontinued' message too.. I tried changing the zipcodes, most of it didnt work, but bethlehem, PA worked... but the item is back ordered. I'm still waiting.

yeah i live in pa near wilmington, DE. I called up my local store and they dont have any in stock.
The problem with backordering is that you may not get the monitor by 8/2/03 and then you wont be able to use the $40 MIR. Or am I wrong in saying that a backorder will take that long?
Also, what concerns me is that some places say discontinued but others say out of stock, why is that? Maybe the out of stock places aren't updated and once you backorder you may never get the monitor?

I believe the 150S does not have a swivel base while the 151S does.

i just went to the store and they said they cant do the 15% off because there is no coupon and they can't enter in the coupon code into their computer. If someone can find a printable coupon that has something for hte computer to scan, then they would be able to do it.

BTW, it does look good if anyone is curious
