can anyone tell during what time So Cal SBC dsl service slowed down significantly? I had sbc dsl and experience significant slow downs and interrupted service around jan/feb 2003 and had a technician check out the problem. They could not find a problem on their end and then charged me 100 bucks for the visit basicly assuming that something was wrong on my end. I called in several times and talked to several managers but they would not drop the charge... Consequently I also disconnected my service because a rep told me that in my case (very bad service) I would be refunded the early termination fees. After 6 months of not getting a refund, I call in again to find out that I only had the right to dispute the early termination fee but would only win if SBC technicians declared that they cannot offer service to my area. Meaning if they can only offer speeds equallm to a 56k modem and connection would drop about every hout , that is still considered to be acceptable service and does not qualify me for a refund on the early termimantion. Alll this has now costed me 300 bucks (100 tech visit, 200 early termimation) ...
