Outpost and Compusa.

Compusa is offering the 160gb barracuda seagate hard drive for $119.99 and $59.99 AR. PM this to OUTPOSTS price of $89.99 and after 110% PM your total price should come down to $26.99 AR.

(Yes I know this is worse than that sams club deal a while back, but they HAVE to PM Fry's prices. Good luck./

Just print out outposts ad...its worked everytime for me so I dont see how its YMMV. THey really have no reason to deny you the PM...like they did with Sam's Club.

Most store managers around here will say that the rebate counts into their price so they are cheaper than Fry's, hence no PM.

CompUSA's policy is:
CompUSA?s Retail Store Low Price Guarantee.
We'll beat any local retail competitor's advertised price on every product we sell by $1.00, either at the time of purchase or within the following 14 days. Our low price commitment covers all new, factory sealed products of the same brand and model number that are available, and in stock, at any local retail store. Our commitment does not apply to Internet offers or any one-of-a-kind or other limited-quantity offers, discontinued or close out items, mail-in rebates, refurbished products, trade-in sales, or special financing.

Considering that there is no Fry's in my state or in any surrounding states, it is not a "local retail competitor". And outpost.com is a web site (Internet offer). So how is it again that CompUSA is going to PM to them???? In my expereience, it's tough enough to get them to PM to an ad that actually qualifies based on the policy.

As I said, YMMV

I don't know if if applies to CUSA but some retailers don't allow PMs with rebates.

They allow you to get the PM OR the rebate but not both.

If they say that theyn they are supposed to give you the difference in giftcards...

Interesting concept, but I have never heard that or seen it in any of their policies. If you don't mind , could you tell us where you got that information? Thanks.

I dont see how its YMMV. THey really have no reason to deny you the PM...

Except for the fact that their written policy specifically says they don't match internet stores and that they only match local retail stores. Outpost is eliminated on both counts.

Nice, I have a Fry's (Downers Grove, IL) and CompUSA (Lombard, IL) that is about a mile from each other.

Well, this deal is officially in the warm area only now. Fry's upped their price to 109.99 so you can get it for $49.99 AR only

1) There is no PMing to online.
2) Most people don't have Frys nearby and even if they do, does Frys have same price?
3) CompUSA doesn't PM 110%
4) Compusa has $50 in rebates, not $60, so even with successful PM the price would be $40, not $27
5) As OP mentioned, Outpost raised their prices now, thus there is no PM to be done at all.

Yes, the price is 109.99 at Fry's local stores too, go check.

Check again, its $60

Which part of the: $10.00 instant savings, $50.00 mail-in rebate(s) confused you?

No, there isn't. Add the drive to your cart. See that "Subtotal*: $109.99" line appear on the page? You would be pricematching 109.99 CompUSA price to 109.99 Frys/Outpost price. That would make for a real easy pricematch, true, but it kinda defeats the purpose...

Sigh... Senior Member, eh?

So this PM with Fry's is dead, since the price is already $109.99 no longer $89.99.

$109.99+tax = $118.25 - $50 MIR + $.37 stamp = $68.61 - final price , not $26.99. :frown:

Each Fry's store sets its own prices, but usually all stores in the same area have the same prices. In any case, they never PM prices in any of their other stores. Outpost is just like any other fry's store - it has its own indepenendent pricing, and because it's an online store it doesn't even try to be in sync with any of the b&m stores. Having said that, many Fry's deals do happen chain-wide, so sometimes the prices are the same, even though they do not guarantee it.
