Sent a good message off to all branches of the military. I have no worries for the American armed forces. They are completely badass. Having spent many hours on bases with my wife I for can one vouch that America has some real assets.

In a recent issue of Time magazine they said some of our soldiers worry about "being spit on" when they get back home and others are calling this "Operation Desert Justice" as in "Just Us." So stuff like this would be a definite morale booster.

I work with the military as a contractor and I must say that watching them work gives me a sense of pride in the professionalism they exhibit on a daily basis. I wrote to the Navy.

While I don't think anyone should crap this thread, the freedom to do just that is one our military is defending right now. And while it may be somewhat discouraging for them to hear about protests back here, they know it is there job and will do it with just as much pride as if everyone was a flag waver.

Don't worry about bringing attention to those who want to crap the thread, just move on.

I don't think that anyone could ever say that they don't look up to everyone of these guys that is over there right now. I am so proud of all of them. I have a couple friends that are over there right now and all I can say is that I will pray for them everyday.

In accordance with that, the military has the Operation Dear Abby program where you can send messages of support to the troops through email. I'm sure the troops will appreciate all the support they can get.

Just curious if anyone can speak from personal experience concerning email support and if the troops actually read them? They must get thousands if not hundreds of thousands of email support and I can't imagine them actually having the time to read them except for maybe 10 or so unless they have revealing attachments from women Do they hardcopy the emails or what? Divide them up among the platoons?

Besides, how do you know it's not a hot deal? Why don't you do a cost-benefit analysis of our military spending, and then decide whether the US military is a hot deal or not :| Also, the US military is a hot deal for all the people in the lower socioeconomic strata who can't find jobs that provide similar compensation. Haven't you watched the movie Starship Troopers? The military is No. 1 !!

Only because of a discussion I had with a classmate today.
I've come to realize that regardless of whether the war is just or not, our troops still deserve our support.
It is not their fault if (I feel) our leadership is putting their lives on the line without exhausting all other options.
After all, they are still putting their lives on the line for us to do what is told to them as being the best thing for us as a country to do.
