WEP only work with 1 wireless device at a time. the bug in frimware speedstream donot know how to fix it. router continue drop signal and get it back every 5 minute if you have 2 wireless devices use the SS2624 at once. they may work with their own wireless devices since all of them use the same wireless software drivers utility and have same option. no wonder the price is half of other wireless router with PRINT SERVER port. if i disable WEP option. the router work ok. i still not sure about the heat problem that ton of people reported. i will try for another day before it go back to office depot.
US Robotics may be another looser in this regard.
I hate to say this, but don't blame the product just because you are too ignorant on how to use it or got a lemon on your hand. There are bound to be a lemon among any products coming out of the assembly line. If you know how to use MAC filtering (a feature that the Speedstream has) you wouldn't have to worry about neighbors getting onto your network. WEP works fine here, but I disable it because it is an utterlessly useless feature. Only good for hogging up bandwidth.
