Guess we will have to wait and see, think it has to do with the WEP enable VS. disable that you guys have been discussing.
#2. This has worked out to such a good deal for me as I wanted to implement wireless starting Monday as my youngest daughter goes back to college and I wanted to enable her laptop. And the same day I ordered this, a medical client called and needs to secure and distribute a new DSL in his office. For this, there is probably no better than my old Linksys with ZAP & PCcillin enabled in firmware.
Hmm so both of us might be better off sticking with our old linksys routers? Befsr41 I'm guessing.
Only problem I ever had was when I got nailed by a nimda running XP's webserver on a box, course I had it set to DMZ for that paticular machine so it was asking for it anyhow...pretty cool actually, never seen anything like it before.
Evidently DSL reports search feature is not user friendly, or it is quite possible I am just undergoing a classic ID10T error.
Here's a very old thread I found in google, looks like it dealt with a similar issue, it's back from 9/27/02 so I"M CERTAIN that a newer firmware has been released...Google searchie Poo result
Unless of course ATI owns this company secretley, then we are just all screwed.
Woa, wait a second,
Support Page with firmware updates
There are apparently 2 version of this router, sorry if I missed this previously discussed, stone me to death or whatever.
Anyhow within the LAST 2 months there have been updates for EACH, make SURE you get these.
It looks like they claim to fix some of the 64 bit and 128 bit encryption problems, wow, took them a while huh?
