It really would be nice to see Sirius or XM discount some DIN-sized receivers. There's good real estate in the dash. I'm not sure why they think I'd want to get some portable unit and have to find someplace to mount it.

While it might not work for you, many people find the fact that they can use the same unit for home, car, and office appealling.

even the new ones are huge compared to the new XM units... the myfi is the size of an ipod, and is a portable satrad unit. siri's "portable" unit won't even be out til summer and it will require a backpack (not a joke about how big it is, it really does require a backpack).Originally posted by: digitalelegance
If you've got a problem with the size, then spend a little more and get one of the newer generation tuners.

Stupid question of the day. Been thinking about getting one of these for use in the car home and motorcycle. Is the tuner unit water proof?
too bad the Myfi is the same size (maybe a little thinner) and doesnt' require any add on to be portable.Originally posted by: digitalelegance
A backpack huh? Any pictures, rumors, anything?
Have you seen the Streamer Lite? I suspect it'll have a wearable accessory, like the XM Roady.
you mean stern? im an o&a fan, so the choice was easy for me. its sad really... most o&a fans were at one point stern fans (like myself), but after years of the same exact material, we tried something else and found that there were other, funnier alternatives. Most Stern fans, however, don't even give o&a a chance. They hear Stern bash them and figure he must be right. At least listen to them for 2 weeks before you decide they suck. It took me a good week before I got hooked.Originally posted by: gt07
Yet XM still doesn't offer the programming some of us are looking for.

no it doesn't... strap the antenna to your shoulder and you're set. as for the price, it comes w/ a home kit and a car kit (each is like $70), so when you think about it, the price really isn't that bad if you planned on getting the home&car kits anyway (like me).Originally posted by: digitalelegance

Too bad the MyFi is $350 and gets crappy reception.
