ok so i was just at compusa and happened to notice that they had 1 boxed sealed new clie 610 behind the counter, gf has been wanting this thing for a while, so i talk to the guy and he says "yea its a great deal, only $249, thats our last one, was returned this morning by someone" so of course i pick it up and take it over to the counter to hold while i shop more
i find a couple things including the $10 (after mir) ms optical mouse and go to check out
check out guys rings things up and the clie comes up at $349, of course i object and mention i was quoted $249 etc so he calls the other guy over, this guy checks his computer and their site (of course it is no longer on the site since they aren't selling them any more...) and comes back to say "well i guess that $249 was a special deal, its now $349 in the computer so thats the price"
so i ask to speak with a manager and i'm told he's at lunch, and to call in a couple hours to see what if anything he will do for me
now, i bought this thing with my Amex Blue so i can try PM'ing, and i still have the printed-out Compusa $249 price from a week or two ago which should make that easy, but i really think that Compusa should have given me the $249 price to begin with...
so my question is (finally =), what do you think is my best plan of attack to get my $100 back?? i'm not keeping it for $349, its going back to the store...
thanks for any advice, wayne
