Thanks to Johnbear007 for mentioning the site in a previous protein thread. Go to
VITAGLO.com and check out their EAS products. I have yet to see lower prices anywhere on the web. And if your purchase is over $100, you get 20% off your order. Shipping is FREE on all orders! If you find a better deal, please post it.....we'd all like to know.

20% off all EAS products expires ??? still going......

That's some great deals, and you probably should jump on them quick. EAS has a habit of cracking down on retailers that sell their products too low.

dpsnutrition.com
1fast400.com
affordablesupplements.com

Those are some that have pretty cheap prices as well.

Yeah, I've been to these sites and they are pretty low as well. However, if you like EAS (like me) now is the time to buy. I have never been disappointed w/ any EAS products because of taste or results.

I am confused... I've never taken supplements to increase muscle before, but I'd like to give it a shot. I'm 23 and in good athletic shape... just want to get a little bigger..

can anyone here with experience tell me which of the items here to get? I am so confused. Pills? Drinks? Protein? whaa..? EAS in Vitaglo.com.

If you want lean mass go w/ the whey protein and the methoxy factor hp/muscle drive hp. MF and MD give similar results.

If you want quick mass try the Simply Gain. I've heard it's good, but haven't tried it yet.

Actually, regarding the "jump on them quick" idea, I don't think there is any major rush. I have been purchasing from vitaglo for 6 months or more, and they have always had the 20% off and free shipping. It seems to be the normal mode for them as far as I can tell.

Try lifting (and continuing) weights first I suggest 20 rep squats. If that doesn't work, eat more protein (steak, chicken, eggs, milk) and get more rest. If that doesn't work, eat more protein and add protein supplements. Rinse and repeat

99% of supplements are junk.

Another fine representative of the supplement industry How many competitive athletes are making a living on this board? Show me a double blind scientific study supporting your assertions? Oh, there are none! Because it isn't science, it is snake oil.

P.S. dps and vitaglo are cheaper than your website, and cheaper shipping, so yah your prices are FAT.

I'm already lifting, doing reps of squats, etc, about 4 times a week. I'm not worried or concerned much about becoming hulk hogan... I just thought if there is a simple way to increase muscle / mass, then why not?

Unless, of course, if 99% of supplements are junk and the remaining 1% is too expensive.

Any other suggestions? Thanks.

One quick question...kind of irrelevant but if someone can answer it'll be a lot of help...Being a muslim and having a whole bunch of restrictions on what to and not to eat, I found out whey is an ingredient that's not allowed. I've heard of some "Kosher" whey but can rarely find any supplements with whey protein that I can take. Any muslims out there taking supplements/etc that can help out?...What can I take that'll help build (specifically protein)?? Tia

I am kind of old now...around 26 year-old and I don't really into lift weight until I recently get beaten in basketball half court game from a 260 pounds dude and get pushed around plus he has a sweet spin/ up and under layup move. Now, I feel like I need more muscle power to defense him and faster respond. I normally can bench around 120 to 130 pounds for 4 set for twice per week. Anyone can give me a good idea of using protein and new life weight routine to increase my power in a short period of time?

Rather than have this thread spiral off into a endless and pointless discussion of weight-lifting and muscle building, I'll try and redirect some folks. I messed around with reading muscle mags, supplements, etc. for 2 years. Then I read this article and it changed everything for me:

Link

If you want natural (no steroids) muscle, this will enlighten you as well.

Then browse around the site, maybe join the forum.

But if you want it in a summary, it comes down to this:
1) Appropriate sleep (8+ hours per night)
2) Appropriate recovery between workouts
3) Compound (multiple muscle group) exercises using excellent form
4) Proper nutrition, excess calories with enough protein if you are gaining.

Note that the above do not include supplements. You *can* get plenty of protein with ever touching supplements. That being said, protein supplements are convienient and easy and relatively cheap. IMHO, everything else is junk. The supplement industry is a $20+ BILLION industry, yet they can't afford research scientists, double-blind studies, and published materials? It is unregulated snake oil, pure and simple. I dare anyone to prove me wrong, because it can't be done. Everything is testimonials and anecdotes.

SUCKS provides the blueprint for YOUR success AND the success of the effective, clean, healthy, truthful, practical and life-enhancing alternative to the utter shambles of the current training mainstream.

Why would I listen to anyone or anything called SUCKS?

Supplements are all about the placebo effect and the motivation factor. Many people I know won't work out unless they feel that they're going to get somewhere. These supplements help increase motivation to hit the gym regardless of proven scientific results.

I guess they were trying to appeal to the "lowest common denominator". I can't say I would have titled it "sucks". If you prefer I have other articles that are much more cerebral But read it first, then critique it.

I understand your reason for not replying anymore. I really didn't mean for this thread to become a flame war between those who approve of supplements and those who oppose the use of them.

Everyone has his/her own views and I respect that. Let's all please try to avoid discussing the pros/cons of supplements and just stick to the deals we can all take advantage of. Thanks!
