There are a ton of big lots in the Chicagoland area. I didn't hear about then until a few months ago. Go to biglots.com and you can search for yourself.

Yes, how quick is quick, my current smart charger from Rayovac takes 8 hours, but you can leave the batteries in for ever....

This deal has been going on for a long time.. I got my batteries almost a year ago for this price at my local Big Lots.. Haven't checked lately but last year they had TONS of these available...

i don't think this deal has been around a year rdmustang. right now the top of the line is 2200 mAh. these are 1950 mAh. technology wasn't that good back then, and i don't think 1950 mAh batteries were going for this cheap

hmm I need some extra batteries now since I got an A70...so I need a couple more AA rechargables(I gave some to this girl for her birthday back when I bought a bunch off ebay[yes they were new when I gave em away]). Too many tech toys =P

Speaking of smart chargers, I know the Rayovac's are single cell style ones, but for the cheaper dual cell smart chargers, the Kodak ones that used to be $10 from kodak have built in charge limiters in case you put it in while there's still power...

Although, I think I might have mixed my pairs up and put it in so that one of the batteries in each pair had less power...dunno if it deals with that at all...but it's a pretty slow charger so I doubt any damage was done(well big damage anyway). Batteries seem fine =)
